My group seems to assume that boons cancel the chaos star effect on cards. I recently looked in the rulebook and couldn't find out what canceled a chaos star. Can boons cancel it or do you need a sigmar comet? Can it even be canceled at all?

Boons can cancel Chaos Star only if it is counted as a Bane (meaning: no entry for Chaos Star effect, or GM chooses so).

Normally nothing cancels Chaos Star (not even Sigmar's Comet, both effects can happen at the same time).

Same is with Sigmar's Comet.
