No, not the falcon (I know about that one): The T-70.

I'd noticed my black one sits at a slightly elevated angle (nose up) relative to my other T-70's, so I took a closer look at the model; and there are a few notable differences that point to it being a new model rather than just a repaint:

First off, the base: That little circular collar on the bottom of the ship that provides a flat surface to attach the peg to. It appears to be quite a bit shallower on the black one.

The astromech also may be a little taller (hard to tell when painted).

Third difference; the strike foils on the original are parallel, whereas on the black one they converge towards the rear of the ship. (look at the hull inbetween the wings, it's easier to see there)

Fourth difference; the rear of the fusalage. The bit at the back with the exposed workings appears smaller on the black one, and looks to be slightly different proportions (again, hard to say for certain, & I don't have precision measuring tools to hand).

Thing is I don't recall any mention of a new moulding for the HOTR t-70.

Did ffg sneak this one under the radar? Or did I just completely miss the announcement? OR.. Am I just imagining it?

They mentioned it in the initial announcement that both ships had been re-sculpted.

The Black One has BB-8 Sculpted as part of the build.

But I'm only offering this because we're buds yeah! I wouldn't ask for X-wing gear off any ol' bum on the street.
