When monsters defeated the monsters...

By Jake Weaver, in Mansions of Madness

So we played a glorious game of innsmouth and near the climax with half the party mad but the goal tantalisingly close we saved game and packed up. All pieces and characters carefully bagged.

All week i determindly keep the kids from opening the app.

But the following friday we open up the story to find the bloody conclusion and lo--- its a new game!

My monstrous offspring have indeed drfeated the monsters :/

The moral of the story? Mythos and 4 year olds dont mix....

A password protect would be a good addition.

Sounds like the most terrible cultists have stolen a tome that should be well guarded.

All in all it's nice to have the developers make changes for our convenience, but the app will become cluttered & unwieldy if they cater to our every whim.

A camel is a horse designed by committee.

This is actually a feature that is part of Android tablets. Since 4.3, I believe that it's been possible to create password protected profiles, allowing you to restrict access to specific apps for different users. However I've never used the feature myself so I do apologise if I'm misunderstanding and overselling it.

I am unsure if it can be done for iOS, but it may be worth looking into if you use an iPad/iPhone.

But yes, unfortunately apps that don't require a user profile and log in are rarely developed with security features, as this is usually handled by the operating system (which is why I'm convinced it must be possible on iOS also).
