Game Ends Question

By SmurfWedge, in Star Wars: Armada

Hey guys

Jus wanted to try and get some clarification on when a game ends.

In the rulebook the game ends immediately after one person has lost his last ship.... however tournament rules states that One Player is defeated when at the end of the round he has no ships remaining.

So am I right in saying that in a tournament setting if you lose all ships say at the beginning of a round you still play until the end of the round with remaining squadrons, etc?

Yes, they changed that when Wave 2 came out.

Because of Rieekan. All his fault!

It's also in small part possibly due to helping squadron builds out a little bit. In the Core Set, and early Wave 1 when you destroyed all of your opponents ships the game ended immediately, but you didn't get the points from any unkilled squadrons.

They changed that, and it hurt squadron builds a lot, so it's something that may have changed, even without Rieekan. I've won no fewer than 2 games (likely, depending on how the dice were going to shake out) because the game ended immediately, before squadrons could activate.

Thanks chaps
