First "attempt" at a light ship / fighter list

By KnightHammer, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

I'm more used to playing the big ships with only 4ish fighters so I thought I would have a bit of a go at a fighter heavy list for once

Tougher than I thought lol

Definitely need a bit of help I think, want to try and outmanoeuvre using the "light" fleet ships and hopefully avoid getting splattered lol

Very nice. It is fun to fly!

This is the start of a list I've been tinkering with for a couple of months. When this is flown well, it is surprisingly good. I've tended to have more success with it when I go second. It allows you to set for a nice net and sweep, or maybe a pincer, of your foe.

I would drop some X wing to give Jan one or two YT 1300 meat shields as escort.

You're not going to outmaneuver with two Nebs. Your opponent knows where you are going to point them. I think it's too many squads, you can't activate them all in a turn, especially with Adar Tallon in the list. I would put in Jan at least and consider turning one or two others into aces, too. Perhaps Tycho or Luke.

Agreed on Nebs not being the most maneuverable ships around. You're going TRC on salvation eh? I can respect that, I'm more of a gambler myself and I prefer going spinal armament and spam concentrate fire. If you can, get Tycho! That would help your list to some extent with crazy survivability.

oh and personally, I'd drop the 2nd BCC for a Comms net and get a better bid!

Here's a variant I want to take out.

I like this list. IMO, you should take off boosted comms from Bright Hope. Toryn Farr wants to be within distance 3 to be of use, so you should be able to stay in normal activation range. Although I love the Shara/Tycho combo, you should swap them out for Luke/Wedge. Not only do they complement Bigg's ability, but they are also bombers. You brought BCC, use it! Adar Tallon Luke and then double tap with Yavaris...all straight to the hull? Yes please, may I have another?

If he's got FCT and FC on Salvation, that's going to mean he'll need to use the bulk of her commands as Squadron, as her primary function is as a carrier. In this particular scenario, I think TLRC is the better usage in order to mitigate red blanks. But in general, yes, I'd agree, Salvation, Spinal, CF, and Intel Officer. Rolling 5 red dice is fun :-)

Thanks all

I was at a tourney today, came in 4th

One of the games was just hard as he played a 6 ship rebel list - I think it was 1 transport, 1 liberty class, 1 Corvette and 3 Nebulon-Bs , he just scattered and there was very few shots all around except against the biggun in the last 2 turns (he deployed it in the far corner to me)

In the other games I achieved fighter dominance fairly easily (would have loved to have has a 2nd Fighter coordination team/Officer but not buying a 2nd Interdictor lol) as there was very few fighter screens, 6 TIE fighters was th highest I saw
