I'll not let this happen again: called store just today (rather than weeks ago) and couldn't reserve a copy. They didn't get full order, and also expect other shipments, but bottom line is I won't be getting a box tonight. And it seems to be out of stock already.

Friend called my LGS and confirmed they had them... how many, I don't know, but I hope to have it tonight!

I picked mine up at lunch, so it's in stores! Miniature Market also shows a bunch in stock.

Ordering can take a great many left turns before product gets to the store. Errors can occur from the source if the supplier (FFG obviously) made a mistake and didn't ship the right number of units. Perhaps the distributor dropped the ball and didn't order enough product from FFG, or has other issues that is preventing them from getting their shipment (maybe they're behind in their payments or whatever). Perhaps the local distributor made a mistake and overshipped quantity to another store, so they were forced to cut back orders to the remaining stores. Perhaps the store doesn't typically order a lot of FFG product from their distributor and are further down the fulfillment list. Maybe the store in question simply forgot to put in their preorder in time, and had to settle for whatever stock was left once the distributor had fulfilled any orders placed by any deadline.

It's never a simple question.

Just a point of information, not a complaint. I have credit at the particular store, but I know two others I will check out because I want it now.

I got mine from my LGS today - I had preordered it and it was the last one he had, also shorted on expected supply

Picked mine up today, had it reserved. My FLGS was only allowed 3. Someone called to hold a copy while I was in. We have a tourney Sunday too bad there isn't more stock to sell.

My store ended up with zero, so I didn't get my copy. They have no news on when they will be getting their shipment in. Makes me wish I would have gone to FFG for the HOTR release tournament, so I could have grabbed one there.

My local store was allocated as well, 1/3 of what was preordered months ago was delivered.

Strange my store had at least 6 cases 6 each so 36. Really sounds like a supplier problem. Got mine Thursday, and there were still about 20 left that evening when we played our league

I walked in to my FLGS Friday evening, and they had 10 of them sitting on the counter! I had just looked through this thread a few minutes before, so I figured they might not have ANY. Big sigh of relief!

My FLGS had a huge stack of pre-ordered boxes (at least 20) plus 3 more on the shelf that I could see when I went yesterday. But I couldn't get one myself, boss said no.

Well in her defence she had just bought me my first Mist Hunter for our Anniversary on the 21st so I couldn't argue too much. Plus I do have a Birthday in December then there is always Christmas so my odds are good of getting more X-Wing stuff soon anyway.

My store had a ton! I picked up my copy on Saturday morning after he got them in Friday. When I went back to play Saturday night he still have 5 on the shelf, and I know he sold at least 3 more copies + mine. So he must have gotten good stock!

I used to purchase from a store that got allocated all the time.

This time I ordered on-line and should have it this week.

The store I play at got none and doesn't expect to get any. I am trying to get one from Amazon instead. However, the release date they are listing in November 2nd. I am curious if they will be able to fill the order.
