Scum and Villainy 42: Mega Worlds Preview and Tier List

By Kelvan, in X-Wing

It's the standard loadout with Adaptability down to 2, Feedback, Anti-pursuits and Intelligence agent.

I like having both Bump master and Bus at same PS since that opens up some nice plays.

Also unlike Manaroo the Bump master likes to get into the middle of things and contributes more direct damage, as well as draws some fire. With both Scout and Bus blocking, they can cause huge problems for the opponent to get out of the mess, which is the perfect time for Fenn to zoom in for the killing blow.

With PTL/AT/title Fenn the list is on 98 points currently, so I think there is some room for experimentation and tuning. Also the Intel agent is not strictly necessary, so that gives 3 points and potential free crew slot as well for playing with..

Those 3 points could be Dengar on the bumpmaster for some nasty R1 shots. It'd mean you'd have to change Dengar on the party bus to K4, but I think that's an acceptable change.

I think EMP device on the bus is an interesting option.

Especially with APL

I know everyone is excited by recent Worlds tournament, but continuing topic about Attanni lists mentioned in this thread I would like to inform that Parattanni has been tested by myself during this weekend Regional in Poland. Test went very good :)

I finished 3rd after Swiss, I made a cut to top8 and lost elimination round due to some (a lot actually ;)) bad green rolls.

As I consider myself as a average palyer at best, and there were some quite big players on the tournament (to mention Naboo Open series runner-up, Tatooine Open series runner-up etc) lists needs to be good when providing such results ;)

I was a little surprised that this particular lists didn't get taken and made 6-2, but I may also give it a try during Regionals. So far I have only played 3 games with it on the physical table, and 2 on vassal. It needs a lot more testing for me to really figure out how to optimize the setup and approach strategies. In 5 games I don't think I used the Protectorate title once. I know I didn't use it in all 3 games on the table, or my vassal game last night.

I have been running a mindlink list for two months now.

Fenn: minlink, title, AT

OT: mindlink, title, AT

Manaroo: mindlink, K4, Unhinged, BMST, Plasma Torp, Chips

98 Points

I happily take the range 1 trade with the Protectorates; I might take damage but the other guy is going to take more. OT to strip tokens for both the protectorate's shots means I always come out on top in that trade. Better players try to avoid it more but if you try too hard to avoid it you are showing Fenn your back and he still gets 5 dice at range 1.

For 1 point, if the title triggers once every other match it was a good investment for me. It gives me some extra insurance for that opening joust.

No, for 1 point it should trigger on every single attack regardless of facing or how many stress you have.

Mindlinked Fangaroo. Very powerfull list.

As for Concord Dawn Title - I am suprrised how often I use it. Maybe I just fly agresively?

This title amazed me when I started to joust enemy formations - with Attanni Fenn Rau, you can pull 5 stright to bump front ships in formation and to shoot those in second rank. And, despite bump, you got 2 focus tokens, 4 green dices and...separate auto-evade for each shot. In such situations Fang title is better than x/7 title :)

I know this kind of tactic seems suicidal but it is not in certain situations - like bumping TLT's or ships with heavy ordnance but 2 red dice primary.

During last tournament I've jousted like this twice. Once against formation of TLT/Homing Miranda + Homing Arien Cracken + TLT/Torp Horton Slam. Not jousting into rng1 would be dead Fenn as Arien's shot would provide TL to Miranda. In rng1 I was safe with additonal green dice and additional evade for EACH enemy ship. Its pretty tanky with 2 Attanni focuses isn't it?

Second time against 3x TLT. No need to explain why :)

Besides..how often you land in rng2 of enemy ship? Having title it is no brainer to, unlike other aces, boost into rng1 as it gives you +1 green, and +1 evade when enemy gets only 1 red. So boost into rng1 chagnes odds in your favour.
