Edited by jmswoodI was more referring to Dash facing off against BMST. A 13 point Slicer Pirate is a terrifying threat to a ship that wants to PtL every round.
I'm not sure I agree with this. A single BMST pirate isnt that scary to a ship with 5 hull - at best it would take 5 turns to kill him - all the while you are not taking a focus to help you push damage through with your primary attack or to help with your defence - making it much easier for dash to push damage through.
Is Dash back with the Scout nerf?
You're right, but while you take a couple rounds to deal with Slicer Pirate, what is other 87 points doing? Maybe I'm bad at making threat assessments, but Scum usually have something else on the table with enough damage output to make me think twice about my first target.

You can always ignore the 13 point slicer for several rounds unless that pirate has really hot dice. Dash has 5 hull to burn through.
Dash also has 40-50 points of buddies that should be doing something.
Edited by WWHSDHave you tried shooting that Banana Slice? They're less scary if they're dead.

The BMST is most scary when its able to kill something without needing to push damage through the shields, with 5 hull thats probably not going to happen before he loses shields anyway.
I'll be flying this in a tournament on Saturday:
Miranda Doni (44) - K-Wing
Twin Laser Turret (6), Extra Munitions (2), Recon Specialist (3), Conner Net (4)
Dash Rendar (55) - YT-2400
Push The Limit (3), "Mangler" Cannon (4), Kanan Jarrus (3), Outrider (5), Engine Upgrade (4)
First time competing with either of these ships, but I've practiced a lot casually. Basically my bane in the last couple weeks has been BMST. I tried outrunning it. I tried shooting it down with Miranda before it got to Dash. I tried not using PtL to deny the opportunity. None of those strategies really panned out, usually because of things the rest of my opponents' squads did. If I get the matchup again, I'll try gunning hard for the Slicer Pirate with Miranda and Dash.
While we're here, does anyone have any other pointers for me?
