HoTR new fat Han

By shotbyscott, in X-Wing

had it for 24 hours now (was accidentally delivered early) and new fat han is faun against the palp mobile .....
as long as the aces are far enough away

• Han Solo (Heroes of the Resistance)
YT-1300

Predator

Luke Skywalker

C-3PO

Millennium Falcon (Segnor's Loop Version)

Smuggling Compartment

Inertial Dampeners

Hull Upgrade

Looks viable and fun

But I think I would still take Engine Upgrade on PS 9 falcon, and old title when not using Rey (or Outmaneuver or Kannan)

When using new title: At least consider the combo Push the limit with Kannan. Kannan let you make white Segnor Loops, then PTL for 2 actions (here too is Engine Upgrade good to close range after looping) and use Kannan the next turn to remove stress with white turns

Yeah, Engine is just SO much more useful when you're PS9+.

I'm wondering about Expert Handling on Rey with Kanan and somebody. Sloop>BR is covering a LOT of potential ground with that arc.

I'll try that out tonight
But stopping dead with a falcon annoys palp a lot especially once you get behind him

I'm not sure that qualifies as a Fat Han. Fat Han is stacking damage mitigation: at least two (C-3PO and the Evade title) and often three (C-3PO, Evade title, R2-Dcrew).

wait I'm missing something here "Once per round, after a friendly ship at Range 1-2 executes a white maneuver, you may remove 1 stress token from that ship." how does that make the sloop white?

Do the bank, take the stress to sloop it, remove the stress with Kanan.

"after a friendly ship at Range 1-2" so I cu count my self as a friendly ship? and it doesn't have to be another ship? wow that's cool I totally miss read the concept behind that card

Yeah you can be at range one of yourself, as long as it does not say another your golden.

Still though we've come far from wave five fat Han has far more predators than before from cheap scyk's carrying TB to crackswarms and the /D he's never again going to rule.

All the ships on your fleet are "friendly ships", Kanan's carrier as well :)

Some rules says "...any other ship/friendly ship". Otherwise, yourself count as a friendly ship.

so I could .... Kanan, Deardevil, EU

1 hard, 1hard Kanan (getr rid of stress)

I can't remember exactly how this one turned out, but there's a strong argument that you can't - the triggers aren't quite the same.

After executing a manouevre triggers happen before the stress from Daredevil, the same way that after performing an action triggers happen before the stress from EI or PTL.

Is the argument. I'm not sure whether this case ever made it into the FAQ though - mostly because tbh, it's highly unlikely to happen. Daredevil isn't exactly in common use.

There is an argument between Kanan and Kyle as to who is better. I am in the Kanan camp as he opens your dial up a lot more, but people love Kyles free focus for offensive maneuvers. I guess it really depends on the ship and play style.

why're we trying to bring this particularly pungent piece of **** back into the meta?

well, it's obviously Kyle

you can outplay your opponent, but you can never outplay the dice

I go with Kanan. You can't use those dice if your opponent has got into your donut hole, and he can't use them if you've arc dodged him, and both those things are much easier to do if you have your whole dial to play with.

There's a reason that at those major tournaments where Dash has shown up in the top cut, it's been with Kanan on board, not Kyle.

shame Inertial Dampeners is a one use card, because you could just park on the spot with Kanan taking and still get action forever

Arguably not, as noted above.

And othat's the reason they are one use only, of course.

Because it is no normal S-loop maneuver (which would be red). The title gives you a white maneuver, then you can turn your ship and receive a stress token. The chronology of actions is up to you, so you can first make the 180 turn and get the stress, then remove it with Kanan (because your maneuver was white).

I'm not sure that qualifies as a Fat Han. Fat Han is stacking damage mitigation

Fat Han is simply Han with a ton of points, anytime he gets past the 50-55 point mark he's chubby.

Sadly HOTR Han pilot ability is pretty much garbage, even more so when wave 10 hits.

Can you tell us what Trick Shot is an the other unspoiled?

But it was called Fat Han because of the 60+ points dump, not just because it was tanky....

You forgot to add the rest of the words. Let me help.

"Sadly HOTR Han pilot ability is pretty much garbage, even more so when wave 10 hits < with the my personal style of play. Of course, you play play differently from me and it may work for you. >
