Madine Matters , An attempt to make Madine competitive (Wave 4)

General Madine,

So you can skip my Self Musings and just look at the list. This is pretty much going to be my Blog for my attempts at making Madine Matter

30 points gets you double yaw on your Navigate command and yaw or speed change on your Navigate token, this means any fleet using him wants to do mainly Navigate Commands, Commands over tokens i think give greater effect.

If your focusing on Navigate Commands, What effects get a bonus from Navigate commands

  • Engine Techs : - Loves navigate Commands. 10/10
  • Quantum Storm, Requires the transport to not be running coms net as you need to use the command your self, unless using raymus 8/10
  • Slicer Tools: Just require you to move near them 1-3 distance 5/10
  • Defence Liaison : Change your command to a Engineer Command or Navigate Command if you had something else on the Stack 3/10
  • Engineering Captian/Navigation Officer : Same as defence liaison more restrictive , Engineering cap has more benefit stack navigate and then swap only if you don't need the navigate Command 3/10
  • Veteran Captain: Gain a token of your choice, Potentially to get a engineering token to move shields. 6/10
  • Chart Officer : All care and no responsibility, let you move where ever you want. 5/10
  • Skilled First Officer : Emergency Swap on a 2 command ship 9/10

Ships

So Ships that want to navigate are fast flankers or have Strong arc they want to keep on the target.

MC80 Lib and Salvation (neb b) , Both are jousters and both have a super strong arc.

Trc90s and MC30 are both flankers which normally nav, not sure that madine really improves them that much.

Squadrons

This also means you don't to be doing Squad Commands, so rogues squadrons might be more important, also your squads might need to be faster as they are more likely a fighter screen of some description. Possibly an AF -B, Native speed 3 and 3 commands means it should be able to keep up and command at the same time.

Objectives

Yellow : Since we are navigating we dont want to be tied to a location, so that takes out contested and fire lanes. Fleet ambush is just bad(imo), so your stuck with Hyperspace.

Red: Advanced Gunnery or Most wanted i think are the go to, Opening salvo gives to much to your opponent, Not a fan of Precision strike.

Blue: blue could be any. i think ill lean to superior Position so you can try take further advantage of your positioning Power

First Draft list

So, Salvation is your advanced gunnery / hyperspace assault target. The General Plan is to set up to blast though there fleet killing as much as possible then just run, Flotilla is there to mess with there activations and do the initial Awing throw into combat. The squads are for defence not attack, although han and dash can try finish of a wounded ship.

Changes could be change salvation for mc30 admo, change han and dash for basic yt-2400

If you are going to run the Intel Officer/Leading Shots/XI7 combo, there is no need to run the Mon Karren title. It is overkill at this point. Spend those points on engine techs since it is the ability you are touting as the best upgrade for Madine....

I agree with Steve on Mon Karren. I'd swap it out for ET or H9s.

Ive tried Madine/ET on a Liberty. It is scary watching that overclocked VSD chase down flotillas and Nebulons. It is worth it for people to try that at least once.
