Unnatural Intelligence and Weapon Quality

By dnjscott, in Rogue Trader Rules Questions

Hey all,

1) I've read elsewhere on this forum that having unnatural intelligence (or any unnatural ability) reduces the difficulty of all tests for that attribute by one level. But I can't find this in DH, RT, or the DH errata. Can someone let me know a page reference for this rule, if it exists?

2) Does the +10% to skill and +1 damage apply to Best Quality guns, or only melee weapons? I know the sidebar in both core books says best quality guns never jam and that seems to be instead of the other bonuses, but the GM screen seems to say all weapons get the bonus.

If someone could help with this I'd appreciate it... thanks in advance! cool.gif

Inquisitor's Handbook, page 226 - there's a large sidebar there that explains in more detail how Unnatural Characteristics work. I'm not sure why this third benefit (after multiplying the bonus and the bonus degrees of success on opposed tests) wasn't added to the text in the Rogue Trader rulebook.

As far as I'm aware, the bonuses to hit and damage are for melee weapons only; guns get benefits to reliability instead.
