Tarkin's Cruisers

Corrupter doubles as a speed boost for bombers and as a substitute for Intel. Slaved Turrents give it the ability to have an extra red from any hull zone. (This is the one upgrade I'm a bit iffy about).

The VSD-II is a stand-in for an ISD (points were tight). It also acts as a carrier.

Instigator can serve multiple roles. It works to help the fighter screen, or it can blast a path for the bombers, or it can take on targets of opportunity. It needs to avoid the large arcs from bigger ships. Not enough points for APT, however.

Do you really need Tarkin for this build? You could use Motti and he would grant some extra hull to your ships. Also you have 8 squadrons and only 7 activations which could be problematic.

You could also go with General T and have the ability to discard those scatter tokens on your fighters, and bring them back on the 3rd and 5th rounds.

The added points could go for a bid or change a Tie to an Advanced.

Though I agree giving a command 1 raider squadron tokens that it doesnt want is a very wasteful way of using Tarkin.
