Lots of aces in Top 16.... Decent hunting ground for a certain Asajj perhaps?
SoS= Strength of ScheduleWow, 16 and 17 have the same points, MOV, and same extended SoS (whatever that is?)
Yeah, I know that. Don't know the difference between extended SoS and the other one..
So. Where in the world do the top 16 people come from?
Steffen Kaehler: ?
Faan Langelaan: Netherlands?
Thomas Reed: UK
James Kroeck: ?
Phillip Horny: USA
Charles Jan Ter Horst: ?
Mario Nunez Jimenez: Spain
Marcel Manzano: USA
Duncan Howard: USA
Nand Torfs: Netherlands?
Thomas Mooney: UK
Benjamin Lee: UK
Kevin Leintz: ?
James Hedgeperth: ?
Paul Heaver: USA
Joe Desmond: USA?
Nand Torfs : Belgium
Faan & Charlie : Nederlands
Edited by zimut-XDo i see that correctly that only one rebel player made the cut? That would be a bit sad. We never had this before right?
Looks like 3.
Joe Desmond and Kevin Leintz are definitely USA.
I assume SoS was just Day 2 and Extended SoS included Day 1 as well.

Jamie Kroek and Kevin Leintz are both local MN, so USA for them as well.

No, extended SoS is a different calculation. If they only used Day 2 for SoS, then extended SoS would also only use Day 2 for its calculation.
Observations:
Faction breakdown for top 16:
Rebels: 2
Imperial: 6
Scum: 8
3 Dengaroo lists made the cut of various flavors.
Two Commonwealth Defenders made the cut.
Fat Han + Jake made the cut! Interesting.
A Corran + Miranda list made the cut, but a second one almost made the cut (placed 17th because of SoS)
5 Scum lists have a Jumpmaster, 4 of those lists have Manaroo.
4 Imp lists have Palp, 5 have an x7 Defender.
Just my first look observations. There is much more interesting data as well, such as a cool double Shadowcaster build flown beautifully!
Charles is Netherlands as well
14 of the Top 16 have at least one of the following:
That essentially leaves Fat Han and Triple Contracted Scouts as the "non-meta" lists, with Fenn + Manaroo getting honorable mention even though it uses Manaroo... of course it may be everywhere next weekend!

Ahh, I see why I thought there were three rebel lists now.

- Palpatine
- x7 title
- TLT
- Asajj
- Manaroo
Here's hoping to that!
Mario Nuñez Jimenez is the 2 times (2015 & 2016) Spanish Champion (just in case you want to fill-in also this data).
Do i see that correctly that only one rebel player made the cut? That would be a bit sad. We never had this before right?

Still a poor showing though. Down from 25% participation to 18,75% and pretty much old lists with Miranda being the most recent pilot.
I would laugh so hard if Fat Han comes back from the dead (so to say) and takes worlds. Or if Paul Heaver makes the quadruple reality...
But also a World champion from Europe would be a great thing to see quite honestly.
Maybe Palp can finally take one since he's so OP....
That was masterfully baiting the Imperials into the Asteroids.

"Paul Heaver only went 6-2, but the man is a legend" true words.
K-wing and E-wing just spanked palp aces.
Carnor finished off with a Homing Missile.

Won't call it Palp Aces when it doesn't have PS advantage for repositionning.
I was late to the stream. Did the palp aces player take initiative with his bid. If so can someone explain why? Seemed like it limited his carnor quite a bit.

I'm also mystified on that decision, as was much of the stream chat. Very curious to hear what his thinking on that was.
