Build me a list from this collection of Rebels?

By gennataos, in X-Wing

When I'm short on cards, I just stick the upgrade card between the two lists to demonstrate that it applies to both.

Or you could go crazy with 6 ships and have fun watching them all blow up....

Blue Squadron Pilot (22) x 2

Bandit Squadron Pilot (12) x 2

Prototype Pilot (15) x 2 A-Wing (17), Chardaan Refit (-2)

Hah, that also looks fun!

Looks like your problem is that youre flying pilot skill 8 ships against a pilot skill 9, which is basically like sabre dueling Darth Vader with a spatula. Especially when youre inexperienced such a matchup is hard because you need to be able to make the all-important educated guesses about where a superior ace is going to go to catch him.

Try this:

Wedge Antilles.

Push the limit.

Integrated astromech.

Bb-8.

Remember that you can trigger push the limit with bb-8, then remove the stress after making the green move, then do whatever action you have left over after moving.

Nera Dantels.

Munitions failsafe.

Flechette torpedoes.

Advanced proton torpedoes.

Deadeye.

Fire control computer.

The trick is to fly her right next to your Ace and deter enemy aces from getting close. Her flechette torpedoes assign a stress token even when they miss, and if they miss you get a refund! Once you have a free target lock on an ace just move and focus every turn untill they find themselves inside 1 range, Fenn rau will especially hate getting shot by an out of arc 5 die attack thats nearly guaranteed to hit every die.

To round the team off you can bring one flat, unmodified, Outer rim smugler. The large turretted ship bumbling around at PS 1 is a bit like throwing a wrench (more like a bus) into your enemy,s plans.

That will bring you to a total of 99 points. Dont spend that last point so you can gamble it for the initiative. Whoever has the lower cost squad gets to control initiative, which is possibly the most important thing to have if your opponent has any same PS ships as you (very likely with PS 9 pilots). As a rookie give your opponents initiative so you can see clearly where they end their movement.

Wow, that's incredibly interesting combo. I could see the smuggler blocking out most attempts to get at range 1, much less range 1 in arc. Thanks!!

I can personally vouch for it, I flew a similar list to my first tournament (a rookie tournament) where I swapped Nera's Adv-torps for Extra munitions and a borrowed tactical jammer + the falcon title for the smuggler.

I've gotten into the game in the last month. I've done a ton of research, but I've actively avoided trying to find list ideas online until now. I have a buddy who is playing Scum, and he's just rolling me on a regular basis...to the point that I feel like I'm on the run all the time and not having any fun. I guess I just suck at list building, and likely at fly as well.

So, I'm hoping the community here can give me some hope. You're my only hope, X-Wing community! For those willing, can you show me some list ideas given my collection? Also, please give me an idea of how you would fly that list? The only caveats here is that I don't want to buy anything else for now and we don't want to proxy. I'd consider HotR, but really don't want to pick up an Epic for C-3P0 or R5-P9, or StarVipers for Autothrusters, etc. I know there are some pretty standard upgrades in other packs, but I have to stop the wallet-bleeding. Thanks in advance!

Fly the low ps in an offset box swarm. Flank with Poe and dodge arcs using bb8 barrel roll and boost.

I have not much experience with the terrorists, and none with Corran.

But from what i've read here, SuperCorran wants to arc-dogde, and hit and run, not joust FennRau.

Unshielded ships like Interceptors and Protectorates have fear of Mangler Cannon Nien Numb.

I don't know that I'd prefer FCS on a generic B-Wing with no ordinance over PtL on Poe in this list. PtL would give Poe more opportunities to dodge arcs, and if he's effectively dodging arcs, he's not as concerned about having the highest PS.

I have not much experience with the terrorists, and none with Corran.

I would agree that pretty much no one would want to joust Fenn Rau straight up, but if Biggs is Corran's wing man, I think that first pass can go in Corran's favor.

I don't have the Mangler Cannon, so that's out for me.

PTL Poe with BB-8 is a lot of fun.

Dial a green, barrel roll with BB-8, push the limit and focus, take stress, execute green maneuver, shed stress, boost or target lock for your action.

It's a great ship to practice with actually.
