Hi,

just a quick newbie question regarding the Carrion Bird from the Winds of Winter CP. This card seems to be included in a lot of decklists so I wonder why it's so good? I think I read somewhere about a powerful card drawing combo which included Carrion Bird but how does it work? What other combos use Carrion Bird?

Carrion Bird is so good because it is a neutral 1-cost character with a military icon and stealth. You'd see it in a lot of decklists even if it did not have the additional Response ability simply because a character that cheap with stealth is great no matter what else happens. Seriously, there is only one other character in the LCG with Stealth which is that cheap, and it is not neutral. And yes, Stealth is that good.

The Carrion Bird is also about the only way for a deck that does not rely on it being one season or another to get rid of a Summer or Winter deck's Raven attachment - which can be very useful. But that is really just a bonus.

I am not aware of any "powerful draw combo" that includes the Carrion Bird. The Carrion Bird will allow you to use Samwell Tarly 's draw ability, though. That's not a "powerful draw combo," but it's a good draw effect.
