Biggs with an EPT?

Draw Their Fire....

that's armada Biggs

since every X-wing squadron in armada is already Biggs, they gave him draw their fire :P

only he gets to distribute the DTF damage to another friendly "Biggs" because he's been taking Xizor lessons

If FFG ever adds a reverse DTF (basically Xizor's ability) that would probably be worth taking the EPT droid for.

Daredevil. Astonish your opponent with completely unexpected turns and damage to yourself.

It may be just me but I find R4-D6 virtually worthless, the fact that when your opponent rolls hit, hit, Crit and you blank out and R4-D6 just sits there laughing at you and does nothing! In over 20 games that I played that droid it never triggered once, but on more than 1 occasion Biggs ate hit, hit, crit, crit rolling eyeballs and blanks on defence. Again this is probably just an unfortunate statistical anomaly, but it just hurts to see an upgrade not do anything for so many games.

I'm far more inclined to run R2-D6 with Wired and keep Biggs stressed the rest of the game. Sure it locks out your K-turn but it also gives you potential modifiers on all of your defence rolls as well as when you attack.

Yes, it's not uncommon to see a crit or two mess up r4d6. The new m9g8 droid seems like a good bet against that happening. I'm more interested in using it on my own ships but I can see that being a Biggs thing.

not on Biggs

it's not worth losing the focus for

putting it on someone else with Biggs is a good deal, though

Yep, sorry that's what I meant. Biggs has his somewhat trusty r4d6 paired with someone else who has m9g8. Combined with something like Shara bey and weapons engineer maybe, that could be useful. I don't think there's enough left over to make a squad that can punch hard enough to make it worth it, but it'd be annoying for sure, against squads that rely on one or two big hits a turn to do damage.

Wasn't that just altered in the FAQ to include the kabooms in the count as well as the booms when seeing if the droid triggers? It makes sense just for that point you made but maybe it is some other card that received that change.

I wish that R4-D6 had been given a buff like that! I think you are talking about Cluster mines getting a buff where they trigger on Crits as well as hits now.

Looking things over again it may have been the Reinforce Deflectors that I'm thinking of. Going from "3 or more damage" to "a combination of 3 or more damage and critical damage" which really may be how R4-D6 should work as well.

Crack shot.

He's going to die in one round most times any way, so pushing a point of damage through is pretty handy.

Nah. Too much risk of him dying without using it, and you want him to be CHEAP. Spending any unnecessary points isn't worth doing.
