First attempt at list for local shop tournament

By Vondodo, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

So i am trying to build a list for a small shop tournament.

I wonder if this could work, there are not so many experienced SWA players.

I have 1X everything (except victory SD pack)

EMPIRE FLEET 400

0 • Objectives - Objectives (0) - Opening Salvo (0) - Hyperspace Assault (0) - Superior Positions (0)

1 • Imperial II-class Star Destroyer - Imperial-class Star Destroyer (120) - Admiral Screed (26) - Defense Liaison (3) - Boosted Comms (4) - Electronic Countermeasures (7) - Overload Pulse (8) - Avenger (5)
• Total : 173 • Code : e14c6o4g3d1i1f15

2 • Interdictor Suppression Refit - Interdictor (90) - Wulff Yularen (7) - Projection Experts (6) - Targeting Scrambler (5) - Grav Shift Reroute (2) - Interdictor (3)
• Total : 113 • Code : e29o1s4h2h4f28

3 • Gladiator I-class Star Destroyer - Gladiator-class Star Destroyer (56) - Assault Proton Torpedoes (5) - Demolisher (10)
• Total : 71 • Code : e5n4f12

4 • Major Rhymer TIE Bomber Squadron - TIE Bomber (16)
• Total : 16 • Code : e8
5 • TIE Bomber Squadron - TIE Bomber (9)
• Total : 9 • Code : e9
6 • Firespray-31 - Firespray-31 (18)
• Total : 18 • Code : e17

And if its viable, could you give me some ideas to write a comparable Rebel list for a friend having everything 1X?

Some quick bullets

  • Overload Pulse on Avenger doesn't really work because the defender gets a chance to spend defense tokens before you resolve critical effects. Put OP on the Interdictor instead. Screed will set it up every time.
  • Liaisons are great with Tarkin but not very useful without them. There just aren't that many tokens you want to get rid of.
  • I don't think you are going to get a lot of mileage out of the bombers. I would cut them for more of a fighter screen. You have enough ship killing power with the Glad and ISD but heavy squadron lists are going to eat your lunch.
  • DO NOT take superior positions with so few squadrons. Personally I wouldn't take that objective with less than 100 points of squadrons.
  • Switch opening salvo out for Advanced Gunnery. If you face a list with a bunch of TRC CR90s you are going to regret that objective.

Have your buddy start with an MC80 whatever he prefers, two small ships and 4-5 xwings with Jan Ors and see where that gets him. Then pad it out from there.

Thank you a lot :D i see where i was wrong...

Would this go better?

I could swap Mawler mither for 2 tie fighters... but i like how it put some pressure on enemy fighters (also has defense).

I'd take Howlrunner instead of Mauler since you don't have a way to keep Mauler moving, but otherwise you're looking much improved.

I would find a way to fit ordinance experts on the Demolisher...I can't tell you the number of times I've blanked four black dice before OE was released.

Yes. Drop Wulff for a veteran captain would do it.

Bank a repair token with Interdoctor on turn one then Vet captain can get you annother around turn 3-4.
