Triple T-70 X-Wing build

By Radar159, in X-Wing Squad Lists

I really would like to run a triple T-70 List. So I came up with this list, I'm pretty disappointed though that there isn't a fix for the T-70 because it costs to much to field. Anyway, I only intend to run triple T-70s or a Poe/Dash etc. So here is my list, please leave feedback, thanks!

100 points
Pilots
------
Blue Squadron Novice (26)
T-70 X-Wing (24), Autothrusters (2)
Poe Dameron (PS8 Version) (39)
T-70 X-Wing (31), R5-P9 (3), Pattern Analyzer (2), Veteran Instincts (1), Autothrusters (2)
“Snap” Wexley (35)
T-70 X-Wing (28), Pattern Analyzer (2), Predator (3), Autothrusters (2)

Have you considered trying to make them all super durable, as a squadron motif ?

Jess Pava (25)
R4-D6 (1)
Integrated Astromech (0)
"Red Ace" (29)
R2-D2 (4)
Comm Relay (3)
Integrated Astromech (0)
Poe Dameron (31)
Veteran Instincts (1)
R5-P9 (3)
Autothrusters (2)
Black One (1)
Total: 100
The new Jess Pava pilot will quietly be one of the most efficient T-70s in terms of reliable offense and defense for a reasonable cost.

Here's a second list that's closer to your original.

Jess Pava (25)
R3-A2 (2)
Integrated Astromech (0)
"Snap" Wexley (28)
Predator (3)
Primed Thrusters (1)
Autothrusters (2)
Poe Dameron (31)
Veteran Instincts (1)
R5-P9 (3)
Pattern Analyzer (2)
Autothrusters (2)
Total: 100

Jess with stressbot will soak up a lot of hate from PtL using enemies, which should help Poe and Snap avoid the alpha strike.

Interesting lists, I agree Jess will be a power house, the only thing though is that I really like autothrusters for T-70s because it gives them a fighting chance at range 3 and against Turrets, but I can see now how useful flying a formation of T-70s is with Jess's ability, thanks for the feedback! I could drop predator on Snap and give him VI. Then I can give Jess autothrusters. Prime thrusters seems very useful on Snap because he can essentially do free boosts.

If you're going to run 'Snap', then Push the Limit + R2 astro + pattern analyzer is the way to go (along with integrated astro or autothrusters if you have the points).

With pattern analyzer, you can reveal any 2 speed move, delay check stress, then essentially perform 3 actions (free boost + regular + push for third). Now that you have a stress token, take your check stress step and remove it (because all 2 speed moves are green thanks to R2).

Likewise, you can do the same with a Talon Roll or K-turn: delay check stress with pattern analyzer, take your free boost, then take your regular action (either focus or TL, but don't use push the limit here!).

Pattern Analyzer is also pretty good on Poe because now he always gets his focus token, even on red moves.

'Snap' and Pava do not actually get along well, however. 'Snap' wants space to use his free boost, so he doesn't like being stuck close to friends. Therefore, I suggest running one or the other, but not both together.

If you really want to run Poe in a 3X list, my suggestion would be:

Poe w/ VI, R5-P9, black one, PA & thrusters = 40

Pava w/ M9-G8, PA & thrusters = 32

Blue Novice w/ R3-A2 & thrusters = 28

100

All three are threatening in their own way and contribute to the list's effectiveness: Novice gives control, Pava gives dice mods (don't forget M9-G8 can reduce an attacker's chance of hitting, regardless of who he targets, and does not even spend your lock!). Poe gets his focus (and a re-roll from Pava) not to mention the black one title can protect your ships from pesky omega leader or others using ordnance.

If you really want to run 'Snap' in a 3X list, then my suggestion is:

Nien Nunb w/ Stay on Target, Targeting Astro, black one, PA & thrusters = 38

'Snap' Wexley w/ PTL, R2 astro, PA & thrusters = 36

Blue Novice w/ R3-A2 & integrated astro = 26

100

Its probably not as good as 1st list, but it has some really funky maneuvering potential. You don't want to fly this version in formation however. Let 'em range free around the battlefield (but make sure they get into the fight at roughly the same time so you don't lose any shots!).

Nien obviously wants to get in close to shed his stress. He can do this decently with the combination of SOT, TA & PA. Reveal a move, change it, collect your free Target Lock, delay stress, boost into range if necessary (otherwise focus) and then take your stress (or immediately ditch it if in R1 of an enemy).

If you really want funky maneuvering potential, try this:

  • "Snap" Wexley, Daredevil, BB-8, Pattern Analyser, Integrated Astromech

Dial in a "fixed" speed 2 straight and watch him go....

I think Jess and M9.are going to be friends for awhile in my builds.
