No Main Game- but you keep making expansions??? Huh?

By Blood axe, in Battlelore

Hello.

Im new to Battlelore. Why? Very hard to find. Not available easily in stores. Difficult to find in good condition, complete with all pieces, at a reasonable price, etc, etc.

Where is the main game??? Its not readily available, but you keep making expansions. It makes absolutely no sense. Your customer base is shrinking, because there are no new players picking it up in stores, or parents buying it for Christmas. No in-store demos. Its not in any game or hobby store Ive ever seen.

You need to make the main Battlelore game redaily available. Especially if expensive expansions are to do well.(Heroes at almost $40)

This is not meant in an offensive way. Its an observation from a frustrated potential customer who WANTS to buy your games. Make them available.

I do have Battlelore & several expansions on the way, but i had to go to alot of trouble to find them online. Most people will smply pick up a more readily available game. Check out what Arcane Legions is doing. On hobby shop shelves, readily availble online, in-store demos, etc.

Dont let Battlelore die a slow death!!

Thanks!

That's really strange because I'm also new to Battlelore and my problem is the total opposite of your's... every store/website I visit has the main game but only one SOMETIMES two expansions... I can't find the expansions anywhere except on Ebay where the prices are insane...

Really?? Please let me know what online retailer I can buy the main game at. I see the new expansions online all the time (Heroes,Dragons,Creatures). 100 year War & Dwarf brigade are very hard to find. I see the Scottish pack & Goblins on Ebay.

But you have to admit that the main Battlelore game not being available from the comapny that makes it ,is a bit silly. Im hoping a reprint of the game will be available very soon.

Im in the USA, so not much help for me. Shipping isnt worth it, even from Canada. But thanks for trying!

BattleLore at Time Well Spent

EDIT: oops, that link doesn't have my search in it, does it :) Just pop BattleLore in the search field and the game (six as of 1/1/2010) and any expansions they have will show up.

You might not be able to buy them all at once, but it is possible to piece a collection together. Over Christmas break, I got all the stuff I needed by going to all the game stores in town this is INCLUDING the "impossible to get" 100-Years War expansion.

Id like to get 100 years War, but im not paying a riudiculous price for it.
