I just noticed Gamma Squadron lacks the "Heavy" keyword. Meaning it can be used to intercept incoming squadrons as well. Interesting....

He's only immune if there another friendly squadron engaged. I'd say just bounce around or ignore him till everything else is down. Or wait for E-wing to snipe him. He can't do any more damage then a normal TIE, so mininal issue to me. Essentially he gives everyone else escort for him only. Deal with him like any other escorted ship.

With the Assumption that Ten Numb's ability is dealing damage "during an attack", then you would be creating multiple triggers for each point of Damage that is hitting an Escort Squadron.

You resolve those points of Damage one at at time. As you do with damage, all the time.

So if you had Luke, Biggs, Wedge, and a YT-1300, and the named Squadrons are all hit by Ten Numb's Splash Damage (because his other dice rolled crap while firing at a YT-1300, but he got 1 Crit)....

Then Biggs could take 1 Damage off of Luke, and give it to someone else. Say, the YT-1300

Then one damage off of Wedge, and give it to someone else. Say, the Yt-1300

One Damage from Biggs, to someone else, say, the YT-1300.

So in that case, the YT-1300 takes 3 points of Individual Damage.

However, as they are distributed one point at a time, if you run out of Hull points before resolving everything, obviously, you are removed from the table and can't accept any more (say our YT-1300 only had one point of hull left before the attack). - Barring, of course, any Rieekan Shenanigans....

.....of course, this is part and parcel of "During the Attack" arguments that we've had recently in regards to Critical Effects... As to wether Critical Cards are "First cards During the attack"... and all...

Of which we have very little guidance, thusfar... Other than if you take it one way, then upgrades designed to do something don't do that something.

You're Suffering Damage

Biggs is before you suffer damage, too.

AND it happens to take place during an attack, as well. Which is the other part of it...

Ten Numb's damage is during an attack... The very first words of his rules text is "While Attacking", after all.

Mauler Mithel's Damage is not during an attack.... THAT is why Gallant Haven (and Biggs) could not do anything about that damage... It snot because you're suffereing Damage (Gallant Haven triggers on Suffering Damage, as does Biggs.... BUT, its not during an Attack, which is the OTHER part of the trigger)....

Ruthless Strategists gets around this as well, because it is after attacking a Squadron... Afteri is not during, after all.....

Well I am thinking paring him up with IG-88 and take out any counter units.

So far I think Imperials are winning out with these squadrons. Major Jonus, Ciena Ree, and Saber Squadron are all very strong. Biggs and Rogue Squadron are decent if uninteresting. Ten Numb is good but has some weird anti-synergy going on with the lost blue die and the fact that you're paying for an anti squadron ability on a squad that would rather be shooting ships. Hopefully rebels get some more exciting stuff.

Yea, the only time we see him in a fighter he gets BTFO, so I think that is pretty accurate.

I don't see any difference.

Biggs is when you suffer damage from an attack, Ten Numbs ability is an effect, so Biggs doesn't work.

Going to leave it there as this discussion will probably get its own page
