CC SQUADRONS!

So Jonus will trigger QTC, meaning the Gunnery Team slot has just opened up. That is really exciting and scary.

Did they spoil all the cards?

By my count, we now have the following units:

TIE Fighters: Black Squadron, Valen Rudor

TIE Interceptors: Saber Squadron, Ciena Ree

TIE Bombers: Gamma Squadron, Captain Jonus

TIE Advanced: ?, ?

X-wing: Rogue Squadron, Biggs Darklighter

Y-wing: ?, ?

B-wing: Dagger Squadron?, Ten Numb

A-wing: ?, Shara Bey

Also, the only units here that improve Rhymerballs are Black Squadron with cheap Escort and Valen Rudor, who provides survivable counterfire. Jonus doesn't affect squadrons, only ships.

Was really hoping to see the Y-Wings spoiled. I wonder if we will see Pops?

Norra Wexley is probably more likely for the Y-Wing.

Why do you say that? Biggs is A New Hope. Pops is the iconic Y-Wing pilot "Stay on Target!"

Will Biggs ability trigger Galant Haven? Move 1 damage over, and then GH reduce the damage by 1? Or does wording prevent this?

What about pairing Biggs, Jan, and GH? Brace the damage, move 1 within range of GH, and negate it completely? I think it does work, because GH says "when a squad suffers damage, reduce it by 1", and Biggs says you move 1 damage to a squad with escort and it "suffers 1 damage."

Gallant Heaven only triggers when a squadron is attacked, not when a squadron takes damage from another effect.

Ok so, this campaign really brings the r-p-s to squadron game.

-The rocks here are heavy and dense.

-The paper here is broad, super-crinkly and ultra-bright white.

-and the scissors are the cool, all metal, tempered steel with the nice thumbhole.

Crap I just noticed his gun is 3 BLACKS, not Blues...SHRED!!!!!!!!!!

Only black means no accuracy, which means anyone with a scatter laughs at this dude.

Flight controllers + Howlrunner = 2 blues 3 blacks.

He is also ridiculously cheap at 13. Cheapest Imperial Ace.

Precedent is there that both Howlrunner and Flight Controllers will work with Snipe...

Howlrunner is a No-brainer to add. Its a Modify Dice effect. You start with 4 Dice, and then add one after they have been rolled into an attack pool. Simple. Works.

Flight Controllers takes a little Mental Gymnastics to work, and works only under the assumption that Flight controllers is adding a blanket +1 to "all" Anti-Squadron Armaments... That Snipe is effectively a second Anti-Squadron Armament Box...

So that's more questionable... But on the face of it... I'd try not to Argue too much for or against it right now.... They're Interceptors without Counter, and won't live much beyond their Alpha Strike - Which is exactly what happens with Interceptors right now.

Normally I'd defer to Dras's interpretations but I think here that he's wrong. The ability is "Snipe 4" and specifically says that it is 4 AS dice. It doesn't refer to the AS armament of the squadron (which happens to be 4) which is being modified by FC or Howl.

Dras is 100% right on Howlrunner. She's an add effect to the attack pool. It's the same reasoning for her getting to add to Counter. Flight Controllers I'm going to go the other way, but there is a lot of wiggle room. FAQ is definitely needed.

Well, snipe is worded as ANTI-SQUADRON armament, so it's no different from the printed anti-squadron armament, no?
