What are your exceptional Armada feats? (not-serious topic)

By Church14, in Star Wars: Armada

I had a game last night where I managed to do something I had never expected to do.

I still won while being tabled. 210 points from superior positions gave me a 449-430 pyrrhic victory. His lone ISD survived.

I have also managed to tie a game. 64-64 final score.

What are YOUR dumb, fun, or exceptional acheivements?

Unfortunately, per the rules, you would still count that as a loss for you. If either side loses all their ships, the one with ships remaining wins and if both players lose all their ships, I believe 2nd player wins.

Maneuver a Liberty around an ISD at point blank range with nothing but a nav command. I tend to get lucky with my maneuvers.

Assault Frigate (Ackbar) Broadside

Blank, Blank, Blank, Acc, Acc, Acc

In return, my opponent picks up the dice for his command cruiser and shoots at my Assault Frigate with his MonCal.

Double Hit, Double Hit, Double Hit, Double Hit, Crit, Acc, Acc

Dead Ackbar.

-I had a Bright Hope at close range of an ISD with spinal armaments survive the attack. (i guess that's just a long winded way of saying: 9 dice, no accs)

-I won the last store tournament going 2nd on all 3 battles.

I had my opponents gladiator carrying screed just move into in medium range of my MC80 ackbar broadside. Draw a concentrate fire dial so have a total of 6 red 3 blues. Blues come up hit, hit, crit. Reds come up double, acc, crit. Roll my ackbar and cf double, double, double. No brace. Evade happens on a double. Comes up double. Previously untouched glad goes boom. That was Fun

I had a raider 1 not only last two rounds of fire at point blank on a VSD I killed it after having lost my ISD with screed. It was a massive come from behind as I also took out his ISD as well

I had my buddy break his plastic custom- made range ruler out of rage as his ISD entered my unscathed, unactivated yavaris killzone.

Good times! :P

Not buying a 5th corvette. Not buying a 4th fighter pack for each faction. Not buying a 4th raider. Not buying a 3rd gladiator. Not buying a 4th Assault Frigate.

The list goes on...

Failed to kill a corvette with a double arc (front/side) ISD1 close range shot

Killed fresh Assault Frigate with ISD1 front arc shot

Lost a game with 0 MoV and no tabling

Had a battle of flotillas (Gozantis vs Transports and squads) for two rounds as all other capital ships were eliminated.

And last, but not least - managed to play Imperials without using Demo or Rhymer during Wave2.

Double arc with the big D Pride on a Victory, got 2 crit effects off via Dodanna which were Faulty Countermeasures and Compartment Fire, and was able to get him to spend his defense tokens prior to the crit. Then walked in with my Liberty and sniped it down in 1 shot.

I also sniped Caldias's Cracken on round 2 with an Engine Tech jump on my MC80 Cattle Bruiser that had Sensor Team and QTC. Still lost the game but it was very satisfying.

That was NOT satisfying...

Maneuvered a ship so that it had less than 1/8" clearance on opposite corners while still avoiding a collision and big scary arcs

I once killed Akbar first activation turn two.

I killed my own slicer-zanti by trying to maneuver it into extreme close range of an AF, spent two minutes measuring, and ended up overlapping shield dials.

Maneuvering my ships just out of range of my opponents attack range and arc is easily one of the most satisfying things I do consistently. And honestly, it happens on accident.

Way way back, I had a Victory-II roll all six dice as Accuracy. I must have obliterated that decorative fin on the target, but no significant damage.

Much more recently, I had an Interceptor guided by Flight Controllers roll 5 Hits against a generic Firespray.

My luck is in the extremes.

I had to look. You have that right. He woukd get a 0 MOV.

That match also had:

Win by ISD ramming an MC80 so it wouldn't fly off the board

Raider dying by flying off the board

Rajder dying by getting rammed to death by MC80 and ISD

Raider hounded to death by 3 2400s.

A combined 16 mission tokens.

It was a wierd match.

My friend killed my ISD flagship carrying Motti with the last possible shot of the game from Wedge. That led to me losing a Gladiator and Raider that were only still alive because of Motti. That gave him the win with nothing left of his fleet but Wedge and a CR90B. He had wanted to give up by round 5 but I talked him into trying that one last shot. Won't be doing that again.

A CR90 had bump damage from earlier in the game and full shields. I had 3 bombers go in and flip over structural damage 3 times with precision strike. This was turn 6..... of regionals..... to bump up from a 8-2 to a 9-1..... to win regionals by 1 in tournament points.....

He shuffled his damage cards every time on the ship before I picked it....

oooo, fun topic.

Lets see: Painting an 800 point 14 ship fleet (minimum, base point) fleet in 5 days. That was last week :P

Aside from that, a Skywalker Yavaris/Talon activation burned an Assault Frigate down and left 2 H6's with nothing to do.

The most telling was an ISDII with concentrate fire command at close range against a flotilla. Netted a withering 11 damage with no accs, spent a leading shot to reroll everything... still couldn't get that accuracy.

Mattorium: I remember that one :P

Rammed and killed my own Gladiator in Wave 1 to preserve my flagship VSD2 on turn 5 from flying off the board turn 6.

Tied up 120+ points of Rhymerball sans Jumpmaster with one well placed Rieekan'd Tycho.

My high score for Fire Lanes is 255 points from the objective alone. (Was out of range for one token on turn 6).

Took a Liberty front arc shot of 3 acc 4 damage. Targeting scrambler it to 7 accuracies.

First game with wave 3+4, gozanti finished off the liberty to give me the win.

I turned an Ackbar broadside from 7 damage to 0 damage with Lando.

Not mine but Han went first, killed Motti ISD, two other ISDs then exploded.
