Palp Echo or Palp Vader Vessery or Palp defenders
What are on The Ghost and Shara Bey? Have been looking for at build and list for Shara
And Echo should have Advanced cloaking device and VI
Edited by Clucasecho is not predictable..echo is incredibly UNpredictable.
but...echo is incredibly hard to fly because of that.
ive always introduced her as "this is Echo....you won`t know where she will be.... and.....I won`t know where she will be"
I would start with the defenders , get your feet wet...then take a bunch of time learning echo...because its worth it. Hands down my most enjoyable ship to fly.
Also, play around with this utility...
what you are seeing the moment it loads the page is all of echos possible end points...every turn.
compare it to the other ships in the list.
I would do this:
Lambda shuttle + Palpatine
Ryad + Push the limit + Twin ion engine + Tie x7
Vessery + juke + Tie x7
It is more forgiving as a new player.
I agree with above that Echo can be amazing if you are really good at this game, but if you are newer, then its like jumping into the deep end before learning to swim.
Echo should never leave home without Advanced Cloaking Device, however. This is the upgrade that makes him rock.
Darth Vader is also a really strong ship, but does NOT want to be self-stressing. He already gets 2 actions a turn, so he doesn't really need a third (and the stress you take from push the limit is SEVERELY limiting, even with the TIE mk 2 engine upgrade). You would be much better off with Predator.
Thanks all. I'll follow your advices while I learn to Echo.
Agree with points made about Echo, and even, to a much lesser degree, other Phantoms -- you should be very comfortable in your knowledge of physical space in X-Wing. These are not ships that can afford to hit obstacles, and Echo especially can't afford to lose his action.
As for Darth Vader, Predator is definitely more viable than PtL, and especially useful for Vader, who doesn't want to spend his Target Lock, but I'd recommend VI, actually.
Very, very soon, "Black One" Poes will be among us, and Darth Vader is going to need to make sure he's able to keep a Target Lock on the enemy list.
You're getting your feet wet with all of this, so I'd say fly what you'd like and want to fly. Here's my suggestion:
Omicron/Palp
Echo/Fire Control System/Vet Instincts/Advanced Cloak
Vessery/Vet Instincts/X7 title
Your two ships can move in any order, but I would recommend having echo fire first to get the free target lock with vessery (focus fire). Echo is a mean ship and completely unpredictable! If you like the unpredictable, I'd change out vessery for X7 Juke Ryad. First tournaments are always rough with a Phantom because they are such glass cannons, but you won't learn more quicker than being in one. First tournaments in general can be pretty rough!
Your Palp Ryad Vessery list is your most forgiving of the bunch though, but I would swap you over to triple defenders if you have the 3rd one. Take out Palp shuttle and add in a PS1 X7 defender for blocking and keeping a target lock for vessery!

^Don't agree about dropping Palp in the above list, especially for a first tournament. Three Defenders is much more of a skill list, as is any featuring a Phantom. Palp is super competitive and will make your life easier, especially with your being exposed to so many new things.
Many veterans fly Palp as well, so I'm not in any way suggesting he's training wheels, he's just the far easier option.

Might be the most boring list, but it is a proven mist as well.
