Books already falling apart?

By bladerunner_35, in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay

Sup?

My rules book is starting to unbind after very little use. Sure, I've leafed through it a lot but it's just been a few weeks. I wanted to know if someone else had this problem, possibly with other books as well. I am concerned that all of them are just waiting to unravel as I use them more and more.

Yes, I know I should adress this issue directly to FFG, and I will. But I also wanted to know if I just got unlucky or if this is happening to other people as well.

Thanks.

It could be the way you've handled them?

The very first thing I did with my rulebooks was fold the front and rear covers back along that edge that was provided. Doing this with these kinds of books prevents the spine from coming unstuck after you open the covers flat. Otherwise, when you do read the books (even if you're trying to be careful) you're placing undue pressure on the glue in the spine, and they come apart.

The first thing I did to my books, was take a mini drill, make few holes, then a needle and some thread, sew them, and now they are indestructible gran_risa.gif

My corebook has a couple of pages coming loose. I wrote FFG and Thaad was on the case (as she always is). I've already been notified that a new copy is being sent out. All the other books seem just fine in terms of binding.

Thanks man, that's good to know.

Pretty handy tip, might even do it myself.

My core Rule Book has also started falling apart. I tend to be a little rough on things, but, the rule books seem to be more fragile than I would expect.

I've been handling my to death. Not only that, so has everyone I know. They even went through the demo with 10 or 15 people I don't know flipping through them. They still look like new.

I also bent the front and rear covers back along the crease to protect the binding. Other than that crease, you can't tell they've ever been touched.

I've been flipping through all mine daily for almost 2 weeks and they still look brand new, no lose pages, nada.
