Hyperwave Comm Thingy: Interesting. Deploy at 0, 6, or 12, and when you do, give a focus or evade to someone nearby. Which is... interesting. Combos with the pilot who lets people deploy at range 1-2 of him instead of range 1 of the board edge. Which goes together to potentially really mess with Old Man Han.
Seems like this would be a good combo with ships carrying Proton Rockets. They can get into range to fire them possibly on the first turn, and don't have to spend their action taking the focus to spend to fire them. Or can take it so they have one for the requirement and one for the roll.
You don't have to spend to focus to fire Prockets...
Right, my bad. Still, having it right out of the gate without spending the action is useful.
How the heck are you getting something range 1 on the first turn? Even with being able to basically deploy at range 4 from the edge of the board with that upsilon pilot.
