Scum and Villainy: The Fell Star

By Seam, in Game Masters

Hello!

I am planning to play The Fell Star from the WoTC book Scum and Villainy. Do you fellow gamemmasters have any suggestions for the Sable Dawn Thugs and/or Sable Dawn Leuitenant statwise? Any hints on an appropiate NPC in an FFG book is highly appreciated.

Thanks for any help/suggestions.

Is there a reason not to use the Street Tough for the thugs, and either Barabel Enforcer, Journeyman Bounty Hunter, or Slaver for the Lieutenant? You may need to shuffle some equipment to better.

Those Sable Dawn members are secret Force users. I want to tone down their Force abilities anyway but also want to give a hint of their Force abilities.

As I don't own the Force and Destiny book yet, what might be the FFG take on WotC's Saga Edition Use the Force skill?

Have you looked at http://swrpg.viluppo.net/?

He has an adversary section with the basic stats for everything in FFG. You need the original source for a lot of it, since he is trying not to get in trouble with FFG. Also Oggdude's program has the adversaries to import if you want.

I don't remember how WOTC used the force skill. But I would think a rank of Adversary would cover it, maybe some other talents depending on the effect you are looking for.

Thanks for the help. Unfortunately Force and Destiny is not published in Germany yet, and my players are not fluent enough in the english language to use the english books. If it is not to much to ask what is considered the most basic force ability (or abilities) in the Force and Destiny core rules and how do they roughly work. With that knowledge I could use a "standard" thug with one or two not so powerful force powers.

I hope the books are available beginning of next year (or maybe christmas) but until then I am fishing in the dark.

On the other hand, without that knowledge at hand, I could give the opponents a sabre (my take on the situation is that light sabres are very rare and hard to come by and thus they use "normal" sabres) and let them toss around some objects without a proper set of rules until the book is published.

Many of the standard Force powers are actually described in EotE and AoR. There are some more that are described only in F&D, but for the basic stuff you can just start with the books you’ve already got.

Great, thanks!

I thought the Sable Dawn angle was kind of dull myself. If I used Fell Star, I'd probably streamline it a bit.
