Hello boys and girls!
I finally got around to snapping some pictures of my miniatures tonight, and I thought I would share them. I am quite happy with them, all things considered. I have some health-related issues with my hands which means that I can’t really use a brush for very long at a time, so these have been painted using mostly an airbrush, dry brushing and washing.
You’ll also notice that I have made custom bases for all my miniatures. While in some ways it is quite fitting that Lovecraft monsters have big, ugly, monstrous bases, I decided to ditch them and make something a little nicer
I created a post about how I did those over on BoardGameGeek a few weeks ago, so you can
head over there
if you want to know more about how I did it. (And you might also notice that some of the bases have a white sheen on them. Unfortunately, that was because I couldn't quite control my varnish
I have bought some of testors dullcote now, and that seems to be working better, but that stuff is toxic and apparently the rainy season has just begun, so it might be a while before I get around to varnishing the rest of my models).
Also, I haven't finished the investigator said, so they will have to wait for another time
Finally, I couldn't figure out how to make these images a bit smaller, so I'm only going to post a few highlights, and then you can head over to imgur to see the rest (does anyone know if you can control the size of images on this forum?) EDIT: Actually, it doesn't look as bad as I thought it did in the preview, so I'm probably going to update this post with the rest of the images tomorrow.
