I guess I had my expectations set by the wotc star wars minis maps which were general a 2 by 2 array of 11x17 in quadrants. The map in the force awakens beginner game essentially has 8.5x11 "sheets" as quadrants so the map has 1/4 the area I was expecting. Quite a let down.

That is still more than four times larger than any of the previous maps we had seen from FFG.

So, overall I still see that as a win.
