Poor, Nasty Inqy

By JoeyBriefcase, in X-Wing

People to talk the different roles ships can perform in a dogfight. Defenders make good blockers, aces, and ion carriers. Y-Wings are turret platforms and stress controllers.

The Tie Adv. Prototype is either for aces or generic prockets spam. With that in mind, I give you NASTY INQY.

Inquisitor- Juke, Tie/V1, Guidance Chips, and Homing Missiles. 33 points.

I think this could be a useful build for erasing defenders, other aces, and biting a chunk of your large ships. With BMST floating around the tables, PTL Inquisitor is a little squishy, although the best pilots will keep him at range 3 all the time. I've been considering non-PTL versions since I am not one of those pilots. So with that in mind, I give you POOR INQY .

Inquisitor- Juke, Tie/V1, Autothrusters. 30 points.

He is a sniper, nothing more, nothing less. Just like Nasty Inqy, he will probably be second in line to whatever late-gamer pilot you bring, so deal as much damage as you can, and the evade will hopefully give them 3-4 rounds of life.

My question to you all is, how likely is Poor Inqy to see play with the advent of BMST, and what would you pair with each type of Inquisitor to fill out the remaining 67-70 points?

He dovetails nicely with Crackshot Homer Tomax, really, really well.

Prockets will give you more damage than homing missiles and with a focus and tl from ptl, you don't need chips and can take autothrusters.

He doesn't have PtL due to concerns with slicer tools, so he has Juke instead. Prockets wouldn't work with this build at all.

Cluster Missiles are probably the better short range missile, as you get Juke for each attack, but you've got no modifications for your attack dice, so it's kind of questionable.

Juke Homing v1 Chips is a solid loadout for any TAP TBF. Especially with all the /x7s out there.
