Wanted to run by you the following character build synergy.

Characters needed: Loku and Diala.

Diala goes straight for Defensive stance, while Loku goes for scout's guidance. The group should try to get the tier 1 combat coat. loku spends the 2 strain to apply a recon token to Diala which gives her 1 evade. Coupled with the combat coat and defensive stance, she will often roll for a total of 4 blocks, (evades can be converted to blocks with combat coat). She often will become focused as a result of taking no damage.

What do you think? Is this worth the loss of a recon token?

I think Scout's Guidance can be very good with Combat Coat for lots of heroes if you're willing to spend the Recon token on it, and you are in a situation where survival is important. Usually people complain about not having enough recon tokens to do everything - it really just means you need to make choices about what you want your recon tokens to be doing on each turn.

Agreed. The two recon token limit is... limiting. But the fact that you don't have to discard the Recon Token to gain the Evade makes it an upgrade over exhausts like Laminate Armor or High-Impact Guard, so maybe.

But if you also have Diala's lightsaber, and it gives you a reliable chance of triggering the focus + 1 auto-damage to the attacker, you've probably solved focus-fire problems.
