SWTOR RPG

My understanding is that the d6holocron stuff is okay to post, since the company specifically chose to post all their material before they shut down.

But WotC material is still copyrighted and so far as I know the owner of the copyright hasn’t chosen to make that material publicly available. So, wherever you might find it, sharing that link publicly would run afoul of certain laws, and sharing them here could potentially get this website shut down.

Balancing Knight Level-play with every non-Jedi career would make for a very... special challenge.

Balancing Knight Level-play with every non-Jedi career would make for a very... special challenge.

That, I think, is the biggest problem with any alternate timeline. Capable Padawans and full Knights are considerably more talented/skillful than a starting PC from a F&D career. Giving everyone an XP boost to achieve some sort of parity works, but I think it does skew your encounter construction.

It's not actually a detail that needs to be sweated too much. At that time period, the Jedi Order accepted adults that were Force-sensitive, and an early-game sidequest in TOR featured such a person. Not to mention, the Jedi Order in those times (Both KotOR and TOR) are also trying to rebuild their strength and numbers, and prevent their adversaries to build their numbers up.

Bottom line, a Jedi Padawan in this setting isn't necessarily to be viewed the same as a Padawan during the Rise of the Empire, and a normal starting PC fits fine.

Also, the important thing to remember is that there will always be a certain level of disconnect between concept and stats with any character. I don't care what game system you are playing - what is in your head will never match up with what is on paper for at least the first 3 or 4 games. Just accept it and move on.
