R2 and Nien Nunb can't save you now.

Another thing I spotted in the new, new FAQ.:

'When a player reveals a red maneuver for a stressed ship, he has an
opportunity to resolve card effects that change the maneuver’s difficulty
or change the maneuver to a different one (Adrenaline Rush, Navigator,
etc.). After resolving these effects, if the ship would still be executing a red
maneuver, the owner moves the ship as if it were assigned a white [2 straight]
maneuver instead. The speed, bearing, and difficulty of this maneuver cannot
be changed.'
I'm pretty sure what was in 4.2.2 permitted Nien Nunb crew and R2 to make this maneuver green.

I think Numb made the 1 straight from being ioned green. Not sure if R2 had the same effect.

They both do. Nothing has changed with ionization. This just affects the new way to handle stressed ships that reveal red maneuvers.

FAQ 4.2.2 had the opponent choosing the manoeuvre if it was still red, but there was no mention of you being unable to change it at all. Now you've got an unchangeable white 2-straight.

When a player reveals a red maneuver for a stressed ship, he has an

opportunity to resolve card effects that change the maneuver’s difficulty or
change the maneuver to a different one (Adrenaline Rush, Navigator, etc.).
After resolving these effects, the opponent chooses a different maneuver for
that ship’s dial only if the ship would still be executing a red maneuver.
