I bought a Protectorate Starfighter and I love it!

I am sorry for creating such a pointless thread but I have to share my joy with all of you. After long consideration I have bought a Protectorate Starfighter yesterday. I don't play Scum very much. Tried it today and it is awesome!!! Love the ship! I never liked the arc dodgers but really like the design (especially with Fenn Rau) which makes it arc-dodger at R2-3 and becomes a jouster at R1! Amazing! Love it!

It's pretty amazing to just send him in with Fearlessness, CDP and Autothrusters, often without a modifying token in the jaws of an opponent.

I was so pleased with my first one, I bought another.

All I have to do now is get good at flying them.

Higher PS arc dodge (ps 8+). Can't beat you if they can't get a shot at you. They can't reposition brilliantly so arc dodge is your best bet.

I think I want to run that Fenn set up with 2 crack mango scyks and a tractor adaptability scyk and just be able to call it a game after the 2nd round of shooting most games.

I run a Mindlinked Fenn with Manny. Getting into range 1 with 2 focus and a TL and proceeding to throw 5 fully modded dice is just.....amazing.

Fenn really is the star of the show in the pack, though there may be a place for the EPT generics yet, too.

I want to buy multiple copies, because I love the idea... but they were always just that one point too much. Jumpmasters kept them away to start with, and now, of all things, Mangler Scyks are likely to keep them there. Then again, there's not so much difference between their performance that you couldn't fly either... but when I fly fragile filler, I think I'd prefer to hound things at range than try to maximise range-1 jousting.

Next time I get to play I'm going out there with Fenn, Teroch, and Kad fully loaded. One way or another it's likely to be a short match.

Just played against this build... and lost...

It is decent!

I used an x7 defender and 2 Tractor Beam TIE/d's up against my opponent's 4 Concord Dawn aces. I lost badly. They fly completely different from anything else in the game so far, and I'm so excited about having such a refreshing change of pace! Range 1 is major bad news if you can't arc dodge, and I just didn't quite manage my approach well enough to stay alive.

They're good stuff.

I'm still preferring the Push version of Fenn. Better repositioning and therefore survivability. 2+ turns per game so far of focus TL netting a 5 hit volley to someones face!

Push Fenn is my favourite ship atm. Gives so many options. If anti stress tech starts being more of a thing here I'll consider to change it up but for now he is rampant! :)

Push fenn is so good. Especialy paired with manaroo :). Course, my last game earlier today opponent had asajj with latts, so fenn spent the whole game plinking away at range 3 not using PTL

PTL Fenn with stealth device and title has been rampaging all over my opponents lately. One of several stars in a good wave.

"Fully loaded" is not a whole lot, but put Fenn and Teroch together with Talonbane Cobra ... fun when the red die work and not so short if the green die play their part.

To those who commented on my photos: yes, it's not always the case that the hits stack up like that, but with the above combination, something's going to stick. And yes, the green die are more fickle but when they combine with the automatic evade from CDP, it is very sweet.
