I like the fact that the dice are the same like in last worlds. It gets a recognition value ("worlds dice"), like the yellow jersey and other trophies
I'm not sure why but I love the look of those templates!

Thanks, that is what I suspected, but its such an odd prize I was unsure. What is the gimmick I don't see here? somehow winners deciding to cut their cards out in useable sizes somehow have less valuable cards?

Wasn't there an article a while ago about how stores could get a "worlds participation kit" for a tournament to be hosted worlds weekend, and in that kit is 2 copies of the alt art card? My google-fu is weak today but I vaguely remember that...
I'll definitely be staying, and putting up the cards in a future tournament I run at home!
I'm also glad the dice are the same as last year's. I do like that they are "worlds dice". Very striking. And I haven't been excited about templates since the 2014 regional ones, frosted clear seems great. Very happy with the prize package!
Edit: The uncut sheet is definitely rare. I've only seen one uncut sheet of magic cards and its in our local game shop up on the wall. Very cool conversation piece, which is what "art" should be!

I dunno. I'm a practical guy. I like practical things. Thus I like prizes I'm gonna use. Alt art cards, tokens, dice, templates. All nice useable things. A hard copy of a sheet of cards where every card is the same? What am I actually going to do with that? It's not even a little thing like a coin I can throw in a box and forget about. Such a weird prize. I hope the print them on 6 foot squared boards. That'd be a hoot at least!

Inquisitor is a pretty "big" pilot to have a promo of at such an exclusive event but with people who stay past lunch getting two extra copies, it should mean that there are going to be several hundred of them floating around other there, no? Prices shouldn't be too high, or at least they will be initially but they should come down over time as more and more of them pop up for sale online.

It is not a special kit for World's I think it is just the Store Champs kits that will include 2 copies of the worlds promo.
This came about due to a conversation I had with Steve Horvath at Gencon last year, that people around the world wanted a chance to participate in the majesty of worlds. See I am from New Zealand and the likelihood of getting any of us to worlds is slim and the exclusivity of the promo is a real downer. I had suggested a Worlds weekend tournament event to coincide with Worlds. Steve told me they had never considered it before and that it was a good idea that the team would consider it. He also suggested that I would know when something happened and that it was all because of my suggestion.
Well, they mentioned "Worlds Stream Kits" Specifically earlier this year at the Trade Show... Being exactly that - copies of the Cards available to retailers to run events concurrently with Worlds or Nationals or Whatsoever...
I just odn't think they're ready for this worlds, and we might find out about them soon, in time for May ...
