An idea on how community based scenario content could be handled

By Jake Weaver, in Mansions of Madness

Increasing the number of scenarios is presumably in everyones interest.

Having a competition and getting people to submit fleshed out and designed scenarios could be one way for FFG to go looking for ideas and full details that could be relatively quick to add new stories.

There could be options too - like:

Basic Box (only using the basic components)

The more the merrier ( Using as many expansions etc)

A short story

and so on.

Hey prizes being credit on the app for story design and Credit for FFG goods would be a fine incentive for many I assume?

Harnessing the community has always been a good way to get a content.

I wholeheartedly agree!

Yup lets have this!

While the community made content can sometimes be awesome, I just don't see it here. I don't think the community is big enough to have people with this kind of scripting skill and I don't see FFG releasing any content creation tools. I do see FFG releasing DLC as part of their revenue stream.

I was thinking not of full scripting , but instead detailed documentation. Perhaps to a proforma.

Much like a film gets a screen play.

Eg tiles/ tile combos. Story contaent, written script , monster combos etc

That way FFG gain detailed creative ideas without needing to muddy the app with junk. Then the best ones could be edited and app'd up - even sold as in app buy. But they would do that. Possibly with help from author.

They probably have more ideas filed away than they have time to fully develop them.

Currently doesn't quite work with MoM yet but D2E is fully playable.

What does Valkarie do? Work with the Mom2 App - or run a separate app? A nice way to generate additional content if people choose to.

It is a separate app, but you need to also have MoM installed (at least at first) to get the data out of the FFG app.
