Here come the Girls! (Rebel regen and support)

Now that U-boats have been sunk, it looks safe for Rebel Regen to poke out from under its rock and emerge blinking into the light of the new day. We also have a new support ship to play with in the form of Sabine's captured Tie fighter. I wanted a go something to try out some of the newer toys (which for me is anything Wave 7 onwards).

42 Miranada (29), TLT (6), Homing Missile (5), EMs (2), Chips (0)

38 Norra (29), R2-D2 (4), PTL (3), Tail Gunner (2), Alliance Overhaul (0)

19 Ahsoka (17), VI (1), Captured Tie (1)

Now I realise that this is an extremely lean Ahsoka build but she does the job she is there to do, even without Rec Spec or BMST (much as I would love to include both).

Against high agility aces like Soontir, Ahsoka can spend her Focus token to let Miranda get a TL at the start of the combat phase. With TL + Focus + Chips, I can reasonably reliably get 5 hits that ignore Evade tokens. Even Soontir and /x7 Defenders are gonna hurt from that. Later on she can feed both ships extra actions if needed. For example, allowing Norra not to use PTL so as to free up the whites on her dial.

What do you think? At least it has the advantage that I am spending less than 20 points on my support ship. ;)

Looks good. Whichever ship gets focused down first shoud be tough enough to go down hard, and - hopefully - you should be able to avoid losing your support ship fairly easily.

Personally I'd strip Homing Missiles, I have a lot of trouble getting the second shot off anyway. but then I've only just picked up the K-Wing a few games so....

The those 3 points could be Rey crew... found that very useful, C3po, EMP on Ahsoka, VT's on Norra. Loving the Idea though.

Tricky choice. Palp Aces are a big part of the meta and homing missiles (especially fully modded 5-dice homing missiles) are a strong counter to that. Getting the second shot off is obviously not going to be easy but the EMs mean it only costs 2 points so is not such an investment. Also the presence of Ahsoka means I can potentially grab a TL for the second missile even after PS9+ Aces have moved. Making Aces fear Miranda's forward arc, even if she does not have a TL on them (yet) makes the opponent's game just a little bit tougher.

If I knew I was playing Scum or other Rebels then I don't think the homers would be justified. But as long as Palp Aces and /x7 Defenders remain strong, I think you need homing missiles to counter them.
