Nothing I play got nerfed but I am mixing it up a bit knowing what has been FAQ'd.

Dengaroo is still pretty happy, too. Jumpmasters aren't bad ships in and of themselves, after all.

Wiiiith that said, the sudden erasure of U-boats could allow someone (cough Paul Heaver cough) to look at the meta, figure, eg, there will be a lot of people who won't change their lists (Palp aces players, for example) and then construct a counter-build to prey on the top archetypes now that the build doesn't itself get U-boated.
It probably involves regen and a Z-95. ![]()
I don't think trip scouts (or party bus version) would have won anyway. Trip Scouts was beatable by good play and if you're top tables at worlds you're gunna be that sort of player.
My money would be on a palp + aces variant winning.
I think it's going to be a Palp + Ace predator that wins.. Not sure which one.. we will see.

Plus, it puts them at a severe disadvantage if you arent at range1. Inqy alone would probably pop a couple before they ever get a shot on him if flown proper.
+1 hull isnt going to make them magically amazing. It just makes them not die to a stiff breeze. You still want to maximize your evasion tactics, and Mangler being range 1-3 means SNIPING TIME! +1 defense for me, none for you.

I have to agree with this... As someone that used to run a lot of Scyks before the change, they want to be either operating at range 3, or need to be able seriously outmanoeuvre the enemy by your list limiting the enemies ability to manoeuver. They are not good enough to get into Range 1 reliably. I always used to use them as Ion Cannon carriers (no negatives for shooting at long range, so you can stay in the 4 green dice sweet spot, preferably in a position that also gives you some cover from asteroids from shots back) to make life easier for someone like Kavil. Very easy to get Kavil in range 1 of the enemy if you know it's going to be doing a 1 forward.

A pro level Rebel player can box enemy aces into the autoblaster turret mulch zone and have enough raw meat and guns to blast through enemy turrets or swarms. 40HP, two 4-dice primary weapons, and 3 large ABT no-fly zones is dangerous to just about everybody.
The skill cap on that list is very high, but that's where the X-Wing playing super android Paul Heaver comes in, I suspect.
ive faced that a couple times and its really annoying. Not unbeatable but god is it annoying.
You HAVE to get rid of that ywing unless you dont care about autoblasters..which is rare. Problem is, the two lothals not only block a LOT of entry ways but they have this rather deadly 4die main gun that if you arent careful will rip you to shreds.
To make things worse, they move first. Its one of the few times where a list actually DOESNT want to out-PS you. Cool...you shoot first...dont care you cant kill me that quick and i probably took some modds away from you.
Kinda comical. I used to think when i first started that you'd always want to move first, so low ps > high ps. That changed in about a month, which was when i was dabbling in ordnance lol. Now im a bit of a mix. Majority of the time i want to move first because blocking is my thing and i HATE being blocked lol. But some ships simply need the reactive play *cough Dash cough*.
Really the only strat i can suggest against the GGYwing list is a fakeout strat. Make them think youre going one way and dart another, hoping to at least dodge one ghost and not end up in range1 of that y.
oh and let me say this: seeing two of those lists face each other is HILARIOUS lol

Seems like with the 4 dice primary, it's not exactly a slap fight though.

To answer you honestly, approximately 17% of the nationals' top cuts involved double or triple torpedo JM5ks.
So, that doesn't tell us how many people in total just had to make an emergency switch, but does give some indication on how it will effect the "top tables" at worlds/regionals.
I recommend you bring counters to Rebel regen & TLT.

Similarly, Autoblaster Turrets may rear their head on the backs of two Lothals and a Y-Wing.
I wish I was going, but I am not. I think BMST will put a big dampener on the amount of PtL aces plus palp, so you may have Soontir or Inquisitor in a list, but not both. For rebels, I would be happy to see a K wing with Sabine and conners make the top cut, because that is a really solid support ship in a meta without U boats. Also Partybus is still in a good place, and Shadowcasters haven't really settled to a certain part of the meta yet.
Basically, I think lists will be Palp Aces, Rebel Regen, or Scum Anti-Ace tech, so a pretty solid rock/paper/scissors meta, but with a lot of flexibility.
