just curious, how many people are going to have to change their worlds list after the FAQ?

By Audio Weasel, in Star Wars: Armada

Just like the title says. You don't have to reveal what you were going to fly, you don't have to reveal what you are going to fly. Just kind of a show of hands.

Can't go to worlds, but nothing in the FAQ would prompt me to change anything in any of my lists.

Had to change my guppy dodonna list that was totally relying on xx9s and fire control teams flipping over 3 face ups!

Fewer Armada Players than X-Wing Players, for sure.

Fewer Armada Players than X-Wing Players, for sure.

I think the x-wing player community shrunk over night as all the netlisters heads simultaneously exploded.

I'm not sure but I think driving by a park today that some people were using spare Jumpmasters as proxy Frisbees

0 changes due to FAQ, Countless changes due to play testing.

That's a lot of plastic that's going to sit on a shelf.

I quit X-wing before the Jump masters cams out. What was going on with them?

They could use Deadeye, which made them so awesome, that 3x Jumpmasters was considered by many to be a Top, Top, Top build. Even if you didn't take it, you had to plan against it. (It was a combination of Deadeye, and some Astromechs, that let them stack up Focus, and then count that Focus as Target Locks to hit you with ALL THE TORPEDOS in one turn...)

Now, Deadye is Small Ship Only.

So all of those people who spent money on buying 3x Jumpmasters for the Combo trick are now restricted to flying big, slow, low Pilot Skill Boats and trying to achieve Target Locks to Shoot Torpedos, and failing.

So the World is Ending./

Yeah, had to drop my triple stacking jamming fields flotillas from my list.

Sucks

Were you THAT worried about Tycho survival? :)

So people have to go back to using their creativity and skill. The horror.

A trivial change, but I re-jiggered my squadron complement now that jamming fields is always on to take full advantage of it.

I don't know, because BCC WASN'T ANSWERED!!!!!!!!!

It's more like hypothertically if the ISD-1's could use APT's, and by using 3 of them you were wrecking everything that could be thrown at it so you went ahead and bought 3 copies of the MC-30 to use APTS on your 3 ISD's and then right after that they removed the ordnance slot from the ISD.

I mean, I get that it was a huge issue in Xwing that they had to fix, and I don't begrudge ffg for doing it, but I can also understand why people would be upset.

Expanded Launcher ISD1's should be a thing....stupid FFG!

I don't know, because BCC WASN'T ANSWERED!!!!!!!!!

I actually can't wait for my opponent to try and stack it! Going to be delicious when a judge arbitrarily rules it doesn't stack!!! Like soul crushingly good!

BCC wasn't clarified because it doesn't need to be. Very simple to follow RAW and understand they stack. Can you NOT do a toryn Far blue re-roll on a squad because you bomber commanded with it?

Rule is you can't have 2 of the same card on 1 ship, check

A "while attacking" is done while attacking

you can do as many "while attackings" as you have the cards to do effects in that step

Ergo, since they are not on the same ship and dont violate the 2 same upgrade rule, they are both "while attacking", as long as the bomber in question is in range of both they both can execute. The fact that some people get hung up because the two cards are the same in NO WAY means that their stacking violates a rule. The fact that it isn't in the FAQ pretty much proves FFG is pretty comfortable that the rules give a pretty clear explanation...

Problem is people have been arguing about the blindingly obvious since...............the population got bigger than one.

No reason to think that in all the comps out there a judge will decide a different way than you and I feel is obvious. I would play it safe and get clarification before the start of any comp.

^This.

As of now there is no real argument. BCC (and Scramblers) MUST stack.

There is no precedent in Armada for the same non-unique card title to be treated differently from two different card titles.

So if FFG wants to change that, they must expressly do so.

And they haven't, so BCCs stack.

(but who knows, maybe FFG is closely watching the tournament scene, considering such a rules change - or not?)

Lol, everyone in Minneapolis better be looking at changing their lists.

Apparently they all just found out about the stacking BCC email this last week.

I changed my list 3 times since the FAQ was release but none of the changes are due to the FAQ contents though. Help me Obi-wan!! SOS!!!

I completely agree, they for sure stack based on the rules as written. Now why anyone would pay points for more than one BCC is beyond me, but I could see wanting multiple TSes.
