Need some older ships? Sale at Mini-Market

By Cr0aker, in X-Wing

Decided to start some scum and picked up the 1/2 price ones. Hound's Tooth, Scum and Villainy set, Syck X2, Mist Hunter, Kihraxxz, IG-2000, as well as Rebel Aces and TIE Punisher, you're mine.

Now for the storage space.

I almost did something similar. I've been playing only Rebels and had a $200+ cart worth of Rebel, Imperial and Scum ships...which I whittled down to just $20+ in Rebels. Soooo wanted the rest, though.

Well, picked up 2 Scyks, a Mist Hunter, Rebel Aces, Inquisitor's TIE, TIE Phantom, and an E-wing. Would've picked up more, but I decided for the Return to Hoth for Imperial Assault.

Brings me up to:

3 Scyks

2 Mist Hunters

2 Inquisitor's TIE

2 TIE Phantoms

2 E-wings

2 Rebel Aces.

I saw the price on that Gozanti and instantly looked to my dresser to make sure I had 2 like I thought. After confirming that was the case I had about a 5 minute inner monologue debating the merits of a 3rd. I talked myself down... for now.

Dang. I loaded two Scyks and an Imperial Vets into the cart this morning, hit 'buy'... and got distracted.

All sold out, now. :( Much odds for a Black Friday of note anywhere?

Huh? Currently they have 20+ of both in stock.

So they do, and so I've bought!

Gotta love buying a Punisher for less than an Extra Munitions card. :D

It seems that their system got a little swamped. I suspect they don't actually have complete stock numbers on their website; yesterday it went rapidly from "20+" to "A few left" to "We don't have enough to complete your order" to "Out of stock" in a matter of minutes.

Then today they have, apparently, another 20+. I guess they only put batch lots up for sale at once?

I imagine that they have essentially failsafes from going completely out of stock in a short amount of time.

Still wouldn't be shocked if the go through their stores of Scyks.

...Decided to save some money and the only things I would spend larger money on for the rest of the month being a copy of HotR and Dragonball Xenoverse 2...

Enters minature market sale and now I am debating if only $20 would be okay....maybe $35...and now my wallet is in the fetal position in the corner right now.

Seriously I don't need this temptation and I will stay strong! ...Hopefully.

Yeah, I meant to keep it cheap, but at the same time there was never a better time to start a scum fleet, and lot of those ships I would NEVER pay full price for ($20 for a Misthunter? $40 for a Hound's Tooth? What is this, Games Workshop?) so it seemed as good a time as any. Plus, I only buy SW stuff about once a year or so.

I was really eyeing the old core set and a Advanced or Defender. Oh well.

They suckered me into spending money.
