Ion tokens and Bombing

By GuiltyGuerre, in X-Wing Rules Questions

In the recent article Suppressive Fire it shows an example wherein a captured tie with an EMP device equiped with Sabine Wren drops a bomb after having ionised itself.

It was my understanding that a small ship with one ion token on it and a large ship with two ion tokens did not asign maneuver tokens and therefor would not have the opportunity to reveal a maneuver token on the turn it is ionised and so would not have the chance to drop a bomb which is dropped after revealing a maneuver as is shown in the example.

Has something changed with the way ion tokens work that I have missed or is this example incorrect?

No; the article is wrong.

They often are.

Rule of thumb, if an article contradict a rule, the article is wrong...

i dont think theyve ever gotten an "example article" right the first time. Though usually its not something so severe they cant fix it 10mins after they post it.

That entire scene they put up would only be legal if you somehow had Baffles on the tie fighter and it did a 2fwd, which it cant have baffles so even thats out.
