Art site for the game

By wabajck, in Legend of the Five Rings: The Card Game

Hey everyone, I run a site dedicated to the art of the game.

The Art of Bushido

On it I post interviews, artist profiles, originals, and look to expand to other related content as I can. I just posted an interview with Drew Baker talking about his piece on the Second Day of Thunder. Please check it out if this is something you'd be into. You can keep up to date on what I am doing with the site by following my Facebook or Twitter

I found the interviews interesting and well-done. Thank you for your efforts.

I don't play the CCG but for someone that LOVED reading the Art Focus Articles for upcoming Core Sets and Expansions, thank you very much for this.

Edit: Never seen that Akodo Dairuko art piece before. Very nice.

Thanks. I am working out what kinds of articles to do next. I want to try and make some articles that don't need as much input from artists. This way I can more consistently put out content rather than the every few weeks it has been. I love being able to talk to the artists but they are busy people so responses back from them can be slow at times. Because of that I am also going to review how I had been doing the interviews up till now and see if I can improve the process.

That would be because that's her Obsidian Edition art. I double checked with Drew if he was ok with me listing the original. He said he's been displaying it at the different shows he's been to and showing it here wouldn't be any different.

Onyx not Obsidian. Obsidian Edition was released something like 19 years ago.

Onyx obsidian, the stones look basically the same. But yea its from that edition that didn't get released.

If you take suggestions, you could center the article on depictions of a particular character, not only in the character card, but in other card types.

Or putting together cards that are part of a bigger illustration, etc

I am always up for suggestions. I had already been working on some character focused pieces. Might look to a little input from the artists about the characters but nothing like a full interview.
