WWPDSteven's Imperial Assault Painting Thread

By WWPDSteven, in Imperial Assault Painting and Modification

Hi all! Brand new to Imperial Assault. I'm an old veteran of Armada, but have only recently jumped in. I host a semi-regular Armada podcast called Intensify Forward Firepower: http://iff.podbean.com

Anyhow, enough introductions- on to painted minis. I plan to paint everything currently released and catch up. Nearing completion on the core set:

Generally, you painted them well, the faces look a bit odd, and the Stormtrooper helmets as well.

You painted them well, but have you seen Sorastro painting his ( https://www.youtube.com/user/Sorastro ) ? I mean yours look awsome, and I don't say I could paint them better than you did, but his figures look like they are alive. Maybe you could use his videos to paint yours even better.

Great job, looks very well done! I also recommend the Sorastro videos, again not that I think I could do any better than what you did NOR do I think you did a bad job but with your existing skill combined with his great knowledge and ability to teach your minis would reach an even higher level with minimal effort. I really liked your shading on the Royal Guards though, looks very seamless. Post some more!

Thanks for sharing your work Steve.

They look quite ok, but I think you should thin your paint. Some parts looks quite thick. Still it will look great on the board.

I like how you made the bases red for the elite units.
