I play skirmish and campaign with friends near Belfast, Northern Ireland. We'd like to look into the possibility of an Organised Play tournament.

Just to gauge interest, are there other NI-based gamers on the forums?

One of our friends is at QUB, so we'll get him to check Dragonslayers, and see if there's anyone there who plays Imperial Assault. Forbidden Planet seems to be the only gaming shop, but they don't have any space for playing, so perhaps our best chance of getting a proper organised play (with FFG's prizes ) would be if it was organised through the university and held there, but Forbidden Planet could get us the tournament kit?

From what I've read North Down Games had a regional but with it closing down its gone to Middlesbrough- but in order for them to have got it there must have been a good deal of interest. I'm originally from Bangor but have lived in Yorkshire for quite a few years, next time I'm over visiting the folks I'd be happy to bring list and drop you a message

There are other clubs I used to game at around the Belfast area and I still have a few contacts with them, but haven't heard of any playing IA, happy to ask around for you...

I've done a bit of asking around and there are still a few clubs going particularly one on the Knock road in Belfast and one in Down near Kircubbin, if you're interested pm me and I can put you in touch with someone
