Was going to keep this to myself to suprise someone... but i couldn't keep it from the many connoisseurs of the ISD and there are plently who are puzzled as how to wield its power. Not to worry for next Wave brings gifts in the form of the Jerry Inside Slide!
Nav+Jerry for II,II, I
As we can see bellow no overlap!
The utility of this turn is varied and delightful. Its a tight turn, more than a outside II, II and it doesn't slide you massively out of position like an outside turn at Speed 3. It does not take you much closer to the enemy so you can avoid arcs, you could keep Montefert active at Speed 3 whilst doing a pseudo 90 degree turn, it's great bait and you can pull big directional shift at Speed 3 (the trickiest speed for the ISD). Inside turns make Range Ruler calculations very easy. So long as you think it didn't overlap the inside of the ruler you will be out of range.
This could also be acheived with Madine on a Lib me thinks? (can't remember the values) I just used the Lib for the large base...my ISDs are a pain to take out of my case.
Jerjerrods insane Speed 3 inside turn
I'm so ridiculously excited for this guy and the movement shenanigans he will unlock...

Ohhh yaaa
He might be a game breaker. The ISD is such a powerhouse it doesn't really need any of the current admirals to function properly so Jerjerrod might become the only one taken by imp players all the time as he addresses the only shortcoming the ISD has.
Edited by Hamanu1^ These lies makes Motti very sad.

Can be done by Madine but requires both nav token and dial on that turn. From new FAQ nav team don't stack with madine, so with I click from a token and II from the dial allows for a II, II, I maneuver. Put raymus on active duty to ensure you can maneuver like this all game.
Interdictors and slicer tools will have something to say about this maneuver though.
Why not use isd model?

Edited by SandwichberserkerWith so much hype for Jerjerrod we might as well ask which repair mechanic will you combo to midigate his negative. I am fond of ISD-2 + Redundant shields at moment. Shield battery Interdicter will probably be the most popular choice.
Jerry likely gives the interdicter decent mobility to keep up with the partner ISD to give Interdicter the luxery to spam engineer more easily. It even inspired me to armada Jerjerrod-fy some existing memes.
"Jerry take the wheel! I have engineer commands to spend."
"Jerjerrod is my co-pilot."

ISD/Interdoctor/Dominator... Mmmmmmmmmmmmm I'm aroused
As to your Madine and Liberty musings—did that very maneuver on Friday. It requires the token as well, but completely caught an ISD-I in only its side arc and not from close range. And pulled an incredibly ridiculous maneuver with a CR90 right in front of a VSD. Madine is fantastic with setting up last/first activations because of the ability to pull off those ridiculous maneuvers. I imagine Jerjerrod will be the same. No space on the board will be sacred with that much flexibility.
Wulff Yularen+ Projection Experts on Interdictor seems like a safe bet

Dr. Yularen if you please. He didn't attend Imperial medical school and captain the finest healing ship in the Imperial fleet to be called by his first name...
How can it work with Madine and Liberty if the FAQ ruled that the Nav team doesn't stack with Madine's ability?
That inside turn will be even more extreme if you use the collision trick to end up on the speed 2 section of the maneouvering tool, resulting in a 90 degree turn, pretty much on the spot.
Situational but great if you need it.

The speed 3 nav chart is 1-0-1 =2+0
With a token and command, Madine let's you change yaw by a total of 3 (command, Madine command, Madine token).
New is 2-2-1 =2+3
Thanks. I realized from the FAQ that his ability works on the token as well.
Very interesting trizz, nice catch.
I think what is super insane is when you consider at the around the time we get Jerjerrod we are also going to be getting more objectives.
This fleet wants to get an objective that allows for defensive play, and can you imagine an ISD and dominator with an interdoctor backing them up spinning around and packing these three objectives? That is going to be a seriously tough nut to crack.

I just got the revelation... Madine will be teamed wonderfully with Raymus on Mon Karren ![]()

Very good addition to this thread, Box.
I had a look at what that tiny, impossibly tight ninety degree turn looks like and I have decided there are cases where I would be willing to crash into a flotilla once or twice per game to ensure it can be done.
Here is an illustration to show just how tight that Imperial Star Destroyer's speed 3 turn can be.

Flotilla crashing - making the situational predictable ![]()
Good point. I suppose that with practice you could pull this trick on demand. And it works for both an ISD and the Liberty, if you set it up right.
A liberty in a Madine fleet with Antilles aboard can be a true dancing queen. Spam those nav commands and I imagine you could fly circles around other ships. Can't wait to try it myself.
Why not use isd model?
Because the MC80 is physically smaller so you can see the edges of the base.

Laziness! But good point...
