Any prisons in the FFG books?

By Andreievitch, in Game Masters

I am putting together my first game, where the players all start out as Rebel recruits recently captured and imprisoned in a Imperial prison.

Are there any prisons in any of the books I can borrow from?

The setting I will probably go for is a prison camp, similar to the Nazi prison in The Great Escape, where the players will have a chance of breaking out of.

I was thinking of placing it on Lothal too, a familiar place for most of the players to help visualise their first game. The game will be set pre-Ep 4, and just after the Rebels cartoon has started (there will be tie ins).

Any maps/NPCs/scenarios from the books would be a great help!

Not by FFG, but check out http://www.drivethrurpg.com and their Traveller supplement Prison Planet. Actually, most of the Traveller stuff, especially the independent "21 Plots" series, is immensely useful for any SW campaign.

The WEG Star Wars adventure Starfall I think was called had the PCs start off imprisoned aboard a Victory class Star Destroyer didn't it?

I found this page, which has a great map that is awesome in its simplicity:

I haven't heard of the game, but it sounds pretty cool :)

You mean, like the “Detention Center” map at https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/190781/Detention-Center-Map-Squares--15-Meters?sorttest=true&filters=500_2200_10134_0_0 ?

The one that quotes:

“Prisoner transfer from block 1138” Luke Skywalker, Star Wars, A New Hope

That one? ;)

Well, there is Rescue at Glare Peak . Unfortunately it hasn't been distributed freely, and the glance you get on the teaser page is really low-res.

That does sound cool. Pity I have a better chance of finding the teeth of a hen than finding this adventure...

It's not a FFG book, but there is is some information on the Star's End prison in the WEG Han Solo and and the Corporate Sector Sourcebook. It is a Corporate Sector Authority prison, but has also housed Imperial prisoners. However, prisoners at Star's End are kept in stasis, so either the PCs would have to break out before being placed in stasis, or rely on external factors to enable their escape.

The Death Star Technical Companion from the old WEG system has lots of floor plans that can be adapted to an Imperial prison facility.

If your google-fu is strong, you can find it.

Thanks y'all for the input.

I have actually decided to make the game more like "The Great Escape" with a WW2 Stalag type prison camp, set in an isolated outer rim world. I haven't decided on which world, but the players will have no idea where they are to start with, so the location won't be important until its time to escape the planet :)

Any suggestions on an outer rim planet, barely inhabited, set around Rebels era, that has forest/plains?

Myrkr comes to mind. Population only 100,000, seldom visited, it would be easy to hide a prison facility there.
