It's not ordnance that was the issue but it's interaction with deadeye and the astromech.

Deadeye was supposed to be an ordnance fix, no? Deadeye was absolutely part of the problem.

Deadeye + chips is still a thing. You just can't do it with big ships and really the only offender was the U-boat because why on earth did the generic have an EPT slot anyway?

Triple U-boats is dead as a doornail. All other ordinance is fine.

Deadeye has been around way too long to be a "fix"...

Deadeye's a Wave 2 card everyone had forgotten about.

The problem was that R4 Agromech and Overclocked R4 interacted with Deadeye. Deadeye not only protects against anti-target lock tech and sidesteps the challenge of acquiring target locks but it also acts as a trigger for those cards, setting off a combo that resulted in insane dice modification.

The result is an agile PWT scout craft became a significantly better bomber than the TIE bomber.

That mistake has now been corrected: with their access to Deadeye removed the whole combo falls apart.
