Wingman states:

"At the start of the Combat phase, remove 1 stress token from another friendly ship at Range 1."

Kyle Katarn crew states:

"After you remove a stress token from your ship, you may assign a focus token to your ship."

FAQ v.4.2.2 states:

"The ship with Wingman equipped is the ship that is removing the stress token. Therefore, a ship with Wingman and Kyle Katarn (crew) may be assigned a focus token after it removes a stress token from another friendly ship."

The FAQ ruling is inconsistent with the wording on Kyle Katarn crew. Kyle Katarn only assigns the focus if you "remove a stress token from your ship." Thus, it should not trigger when a Ship with Kyle Katarn crew uses Wingman to remove stress on another ship.

Where the two cards were ambiguous is whether Kyle Katarn crew on Ship A triggers when Ship B with Wingman removes a stress token from Ship A. Based on the FAQ ruling, it appears that Kyle Katarn crew should not trigger when another ship uses Wingman to clear the stress. However, perhaps this deserves a second look, as the FAQ ruling is inconsistent with the card text?
