New illegal maneuver rules

By nikk whyte, in X-Wing

In case no one caught it, if you assign a red maneuver while stressed, your opponent no longer gets to pick a legal maneuver for you. You are automatically assigned a white 2 speed straight maneuver.

This is relatively nice. Opponents controlling the dial is way too harsh.

However, it would appear that these rules are in direct conflict with the loose stabilizer crit, which states you may not be assigned straight maneuvers. So which effect takes priority?

You cant be assigned straight maneuvers. Doesnt mean you cant execute them. If you assign yourself a 2 straight with loose stabilizer, then you execute a white 2 straight because thats the default maneuver you execute after you assign an illegal maneuver.

Nope.

New rule specifically mentions red maneuvers while stressed. It says nothing about that crit. Meaning either we revert to the old rules for that alone, or we might as well ignore that crit entirely.

so...SOP, then?

that crit always was basically a face-down damage card every single game it was pulled -_-
