I like the Rotation the way it is. Buying 4 maps per year is enough.
That's also why I hate the mousepad maps. It's a very expensive solution to a very minor problem (but we've discussed that at length already).
All it does now is further limit the rotations. At the very least they should be double sided.
I don't think it would be bad for high end play. At that level you should know how to play the game regardless of map.... I think it shows more skill to be able to adapt rather than just build the best list for the given 3 maps and just memorize every strategy.
I'm over simplifying of course, but sometimes we get maps where certain types of lists have a clear advantage.I'd prefer to shake that up a bit more.
The beauty of IA is that we don't have one list dominating everything. And I think map rotations are a big part of that.
At the end of the day, I don't mind putting together some cardboard tiles, and I'd rather do that, then play the same map for 9 months.
