PS13 Quadruple Action Corran?

By Firespray-32, in X-Wing

Corran Horn (35)

Push the Limit (3)

Fire Control System (2)

Engine Upgrade (4)

Ahsoka Tano (17)

Wingman (2)

37 points left.

Corran takes any maneuver he wants including a red one, Ahsoka lands within Range 1 of where Corran's maneuver ends. Ahsoka takes focus, Corran takes focus or evade depending on the situation.

Start of the combat phase, Ahsoka removes any stress from Corran then hands him an action. Corran can then PTL arc dodge at PS13. The first attack gives him a target lock from Fire Control System with which he can double tap in the end phase.

Against a lower PS target or one that can't dodge Corran can PTL off his initial action and have Ahsoka clear the stress prior to handing him yet another action.

I think Soontir might cry.

Seems ok but that's 2 fragile ships instead of 1.

'Cept 4 of those 37 points are for R2D2. And with the recent change to Deadeye, Corran is no longer particularly fragile. I might argue against Wingman and PTL though - with all of the BMSTs around these days, you can't afford to self stress Corran, though I suppose you could just not use it in those match ups. The question becomes - what to do with the EPT then? VI is no longer particularly useful, though it is still solid. Perhaps Swap Wingman and PTL for VI and Adaptability, putting them both at PS9 naturally, and then add Captured TIE and R2D2... Leaving you 36 points for a 3rd ship... Perhaps a slightly gimped Poe8 w/ R5P9, Adaptability, PA, IA?

Now you have 2 PS9 aces, and a PS9 support ship - you get a free action at the start of combat for any of your ships, and Ahsoka is protected by the mod from most ships.

i wouldnt be worried about stressing with slicers around if you are at PS8+ and have a way to clear it before the next activation.

Nobody is going to put slicers on a PS8+ ship. Theyre all the heavy hitters, so they want glitterstim or inertia dampeners.

Both online and in my flgs ive never seen it on a ship higher than 5. Its a budget way to fill your illicit slots, not a way for your big dog to do something sneaky.

R2-D2 isn't listed in the build. Very fragile.

Just saw the deadeye nerf so that does help a little.

If you're fighting BMSTs you're not fighting Imperial Aces. You can PTL for two actions on Corran, strip the stress with Wingman and then give Corran a third action at the start of the combat phase. Ahsoka's ability and Wingman have the same timing which means you decide the order.

It says 37 points remaining. R2-D2 and possibly Sabine's TIE + Kyle + Illicit would come under that. I only included the cards neccesary to make this work.
